This can't be real.

I'd have guessed that I was in the Fade and had fallen prey to a demon trying to tempt me, but I suspect a demon would be offering something more appealing than being trapped in the sky among the stars.

This place seems vast. I was told there were others. Is anyone reading this?

	The clever ones figure out what you long for most, and tempt you with that. Although I suppose power and pleasure cover most eventualities. I'm Adrian. Honestly, I don't know what to think of any of this. The...station is so vast, and we really are among the stars, as if someone had pushed it up into the sky. 	It works for them a lot of the time. I was noticing a strange uptick in possessions before I ended up here. This place is an odd blend of science and magic. Space travel wasn't unheard of where I came from but this is different. If looking out the windows doesn't spook you it can sometimes be helpful in coming to terms with being here. They usually offered me freedom, but there's no use in being free if you're immediately killed for being possessed, so it didn't work. I wonder if something was disturbing them where you were from, making them more eager to seek a host.

I tried to look,and it made me feel incredibly strange. The best I can think to describe it is the feeling that you get if you find yourself standing on a high ledge or clifftop, only intensified. Space travel! If it was ever spoken of at home, it would have been a matter for fanciful poetry. But perhaps you're right. I need to look again, until my mind can accept it.

Being possessed is horrible enough, but if they are aware of what will happen then they must be desperate. As for where I'm from, the demons are always seeking to get ahead in the hierarchy of hell, the more souls they take or the more powerful the body they posses the more powerful they are in hell.

If you're worried about demons we do have a few exorcists here, and there are wards we can place to keep them out entirely.

I know what you mean. It takes some time to get used to this place but once you do you'll find that it isn't so bad. The food is actually excellent.

Some are desperate. Others are weak. Demons lie, they trick people, anything to get a foothold in our world. If they're always whispering, it's inevitable that someone will succumb eventually.

~~And what would such a person do to me if I were~~ I thank you, but I am not worried for myself. I've faced them often enough that there is no danger I will fall for their traps.

Is it? What food would you recommend? I haven't had a good meal in a long while.

In my world they don't always need permission. But that won't be something you have to worry about here, especially if you're aware of their tricks. You'll be fine.

I'll warn you that I am a vegetarian so I can only speak for the meatless options. I've enjoyed everything I've tried on Wheel 1 and it seems like they have anything you could imagine there. Also, the apples that are grown on the station are incredible.

	~~Lucky you~~ I'm a stage magician for my day job and so I end up working with a lot of animals. Rabbits especially and I keep a lot of them as pets. It just doesn't feel right to me, getting close to one kind of animal and eating another. More about me being a little squeamish rather than some sort of ethical stance. (Reply to this) (Parent)
