Who would I have to talk to about learning to fly one of these bloody great ships?

I am a fully qualified RAF pilot where I am from, although granted 'where I am from' is Earth, 1939, so it may be about as comparable as being able to pedal a tricycle.

Anyone willing to take on a student? I would be most grateful, and if there is something I can do for you in return... goodness knows what, but we can strike a deal, no doubt. I am so fucking bored

That is fantastic. I would greatly appreciate whatever you can teach me, it will be a lot more than I know right now, and we all have to start somewhere I suppose.

We do. I will try to convince my Dad to join us for a few lessons if you don't mind. He has centuries of experience and might be able to correct me on mistakes.

Have you ever been out to the stars? Have you been to one of the planets yet?

Oh, his experience isn't the problem. But he is the Nordic god of trickery and lies and sometimes a bit insufferable to people who are not me.
