Public Service Announcement

If you want the alcohol at Bad Things to remain free, stay on the vampire's good side. Otherwise you will owe her an undetermined amount to be paid at a time of her choosing.

Have a nice evening.

It is the easiest way to see what was said, isn't it?

Yes but I would be moved to read the whole thing instead of your part alone, and that would taint my opinion I think.

I wasn't expecting you to read only my part.

Well since you are not willing to go along with my suggestion, I'll give you my piece. When men take out their privat parts and start swinging it about it is an ugly business. You might find it removed when you go to put it back, if you are not careful.

Viking women take insult very very seriously. And that should have been your take away.

And insulting children is play of a man with a small mind. My sons are busy men or you would have found yourself taken to task by one of them, instead of his lover. I say you got away easy, having your drink taken from you.

And here I am completely unsurprised that you found absolutely nothing at all wrong with her reaction.

I found your response to a child completely and absolutely absurd, and out of place. And I wonder at the filth that was coursing through your mind when you first ventured onto her post for amusement.

As I said, you got away easy.

And yet again not at all surprised that you're taking her side.

She's not a child. She's most definitely a woman. And she had obviously made up her mind and just wanted someone to tell her she wasn't a horrible person for doing it.

I did give you a chance to tell me your side. Instead you wished me to do the work, and left me to draw my own conclusions.

I think you're wrong in that, on all counts. My sons were most definitely not men when they were shy of their second decade.

And maybe that was what she wanted, but you went out of your way to try and make her feel horrible. And you wasted her time and yours, not the other way around.

Ah yes. The old familiar song and dance of making everything completely and 100% my fault even though I wasn't the one that did the threatening.

But I deserved it, of course, because you certainly wouldn't put any of the blame on your favorite vampire.

You and my dad would get along splendidly.

Well, since you did not take advantage of the chance to explain yourself, yes, it would be your fault. And I still have not threatened you.

Do you know why? Because I do not see vampire when I look at her. I see a loving honorable woman that's willing to fight for something she believes in.

Your father wouldn't like me very much, I'd box him around the ears for not taking you over his knee and giving you a good walloping when you deserved it.

And no one seems at all concerned about the married man she's talking about sleeping with. Perhaps we should lock the pedophile away since he's very obviously having sex with a poor, defenseless child.

Do you get anymore ludacris? I'm beginning to wonder at your own state of adulthood.

So she's only a child in the sense that makes me evil, not in any other way.

Got it, thank you for clearing that up but everyone already knows I'm a bad guy. They've known eons.

You only want her not to be a child so you can berate her and belittle her and for you not to be a horrible person. But you see, you would still be a horrible person if she weren't a child. And my guess is his age is not that far from her own.

I don't know you, nor do I care to. Someone so little is very much beneath me. Because you are little, not evil. Little and small minded.

Grandma, please, it's not worth any insult. This conversation will not go anywhere.

I promised Zu to take her to one of the planets later today. Maybe you want to accompany us.

You're right. He's not worth the heat. I can only think of... What if it was you? What if he were saying those things to you, about you? I let it get me angry.

And Thor's beloved! He says vampire as if it were something shameful.

I would like that, very much.

I don't know. Rhysand always tells me that there are people not worth fighting with. If he verbally attacks me, then tough luck. The best thing I can do is not to care. Let him bark at nothing.

I think Bryn can handle herself. And it's not that she needs customers, maybe anyone being turned away by a speech like that is not really a loss.

Great. We will leave in an hour or two.

Where did you get this wisdom? Hhmmm? Were you born with it or did it just come to you? You are right let him bark. I'll save whatever fight I have if he chooses to bite.

That should give me just enough time to ready myself. Where shall I meet you?

Ha, wisdom! I'm not sure I would say that t your sons and my man are a good influence. I've struggled with my temper all my life and Rhys and Thor are a calming source. I learned that being upset only wounds myself. I have a fantastic family and great friends, why care about a stranger's opinion?

How about we gather in the living-room?

You come by your temper naturally I'm afraid. But you do make a good point. Why care about the opinions of those that aren't a friend or family.

I'll be there whenever I am ready.

Oh god, don't I know it. I'm not even sure from which side I've inherited it. On occasion it has turned me into a person I do not want to be.

You've probably got it all the way around. But it's better to notice it than be oblivious to it. Then you can rectify it, if it cannot be stopped.
