Well, that'll be me back with some familiar folk, then, and some new faces besides.

There any work needing done? AJ?

I do. I might have been loud enough that Molly's standing right beside me.

Well, as long as you at least have an apartment picked out. I'm up in a thing called a bio dome that I've made completely my own.

I canna tell you how happy this makes me. The army took I haven't seen them in far too long.

Aye, lass. I met Abigail Hobbs when I arrived and she's sorted me out with all that. All on your own? That's heavy work for you all by yourself. I look forward to seeing it.

Well you can come on up and spend as much time with them as you want. I ain't in any rush to put you to work, I'm just darn glad your back.

Good! Well, I didn't build the bio dome myself. It was here before. I just moved a lot of flora so I could relocate the farm critters to someplace safe. And put up barns. And plant crops. I've been busy. The only thing that's hard is plowing straight rows without someone to drive the hoe. So there's a few crooked lines.

Ah, you know how I am. I'll see something needing doing and just start anyway.

Is that all? You're some lass, you know that? A few crooked lines is all, by god. Well you willna have to do it on your own anymore, we'll have no more crooked lines I tell you.

Well I hope there ain't too much. There's a new guy that I've been trainin' showin' the ropes. He's kinda fancy, and ain't quite got the hang of things, but he'd be fine come time for harvest. So you should be able to get in plenty of snuggle time with your ponies.

Well pardon me while I yeehaw! Ain't enough farmfolk I tell ya.

Oh aye, got yourself a fancy man eh? I’m sure I can teach the lad a thing or two if he’s no a daftie.

Ain’t that the truth, I dinna think there’s such a thing as enough farming folk.

Yeah he wanted to learn so I'm teaching, I reckon he'd be willin' from you too. He's smart, it's just not work he's used to. Between us we can make him into a farmer.

Oh there's definitely not. Anywhere. That's why we gotta turn as many fancy fella's as we possibly can.

I think between us we could make just about any able body into a farmer. That's what we'll do, then. We'll go on a recruitment drive for harvest.

That sounds like a great idea. I wonder how many people we can get.

When will you be ready to harvest? How do you work the seasons around here?

I actually staggered it I wasn't sure I'd have help it's set up in sections. And as far as seasons, basically we can change that in the dome.

That's amazingly helpful. So you dinna have to worry about too much rain, or an early frost, or... that's incredible.

Nope, but it's good to make it rain every now and then. As the song says Rain is a good thang.

Of course it is. A drought's as bad as a flood. But to be able to control the weather, the seasons... it's beyond anything I could ever have dreamed of. How many people could be saved from poverty and starvation... it's been a close call for me and my lot a few times, you know? But for want of rain, or a little more warmth.

I'll show you all the controls, it's real neat. We could kind of do it in Equestria it had to have rhyme or reason, this you don't. And different sections can have different seasons...

It's a definite game-changer.

Right, I'm coming down to see the horses. And you, of course.

Best hurry, we're celebrating without you. Horses have some of the last Zap Apple harvest from two years ago, and I'm having some cider.
