hello

I like Cuban Cuba. It is very warm.

When must I do the working now? should I look for work?

Tommy helps is helping me with English words. I hope you know my words understand me best better now. I speak and read the language on the walls of the station.

[That is an improvement! Keep at it. I'm glad you are enjoying Cuba, it is very nice.

When the doctors think you are well enough we can find you something to do. There is no rush.]

[Tommy is correcting me. I am teaching him, his pronunciation is terrible.

I have never not-worked, Izzy. This "well enough" idea is very strange.]

This isn't the factory Kelan, there's no overseers ready to punish you. We aren't so desperate for labor that it can't wait.]

[My pronunciation of your English is also terrible. And I do not know what people are saying in Cuba, so I stay quiet.

I know this in my head, but I wake up thinking I am still there and if I close my eyes I expect to hear it. It will take time for all of me to escape, I think.]
