The ghosts are taking a more violent turn. If any of you do not feel safe in your own homes, or on this station all are welcome to bed down in the Bad Things. There are cots and sleeping bags and plenty of food and drink.

The walls and doors are warded, and lined with iron, the threshold bathed in salt. Only the strongest can get through, and even if they do it will knock down their power and energy. But lets hope there are none that strong on board.

If there are any non humans that would like to seek refuge feel free to private message me and I will make sure none of the warding will keep you out.

If you wish to bring your family, and would like to come and slum it for a bit, I will be able to get you across the threshold without any power loss. I will even throw in my bedroom so that it will seem a little less like you are slumming it.

The many have not lived as long as I have. A century is a long time on Midgard, and I've had twelve of those pass me. And still I do not know all there is to know, but I know this much: in a place like this you want the god of mischief here, and on your side.

There are many reasons that I could rattle off pertaining to you being a god and me being one of your people, and while they would all be true they wouldn't specifically be why.

Something in my gut told me to warn you. And you have a family that loves you. You came back here for a reason, are they not it? Is that not reason enough for me to want you to be safe? ~~The one time I didn't listen to my gut I regretted it~~

And those same guts tell me I am not the only one that will be glad that you're here in the end.

And that statement brings up something that should have come to mind much sooner, because your definition of revenant and my definition of Revenant are very different. I hope you never meet one, but a Revenant is... a creation of all the despair, all of the sadness, every ounce of loneliness, or that is what it feels like when you are in the presence of one. This is not an insult to your power or your... you. If you ever see one, and you will know it without a doubt, Run. Get as far away as fast as you can. I've only known one being to face one down and just barely escape without the final death. And he was a robot. I'm not entirely sure that everyone on this station combining their powers could kill one. And only the dead can see them, the living would sense one as an intense drop in temperature, but you and I would feel... every once of fear we've ever felt in our lives, combined. All it has to do is touch you to take you, and it is a very real very hellish death.

Think of it more like storytime. A storytime filled with nightmares and not fun screams. Besides I want to be able to sit across the hall from you in Valhalla and get dirty looks. Perhaps a throaty groan of obvious annoyance that we're sharing the same space.

On a more serious note, I've had a very 'fight or flight' reaction to the arrival of these ghosts and I've never got that around ghosts before. So, either there is a very strong one among the weaker ones, or... well it's always better to prepare for the worst. And the living have nothing to worry about, you and I on the other hand do.

Hardly. I think being dead longer than you means I have more information about it than you do. Especially since you are the only one of your kind. And as much hate to admit it, until you regain your flesh for good, your heart has need to beat, and your lungs take in air as need rather than mere habit, you are not a god, you are a shade.

And now I have to repair my makeup before your brother can ask me what's wrong.

My friends back in my world are idiots and will do stupid things when their friends are in danger. A Revenant will only harm the living if they get in the way I don't know why. No one that can see them can get close enough to study them, and remain off the casualty list. There isn't even lore on what they originally were.

Well, see, that is where us Midgardians differ, we only have opposable thumbs and self recognition going for us otherwise we are all just a bunch of mammals doing what mammals do. Of course we can fight the baser instincts but it's fun to give in and just... be.

That aside, I am sorry for being so harsh. It was mean, and ungrateful, and I have no excuse for it. You are not a lowly creature, and I would never think you are. You're just different now.
