[Reply comes ten minutes past three and is in the form of a picture of her bedroom with a book lying open on her bed, a half-full mug of tea on her bedside table and two sleeping wolves in a corner.]

Ah, nothing better than a calm and cozy evening.

You are far more like your father than anyone gives you credit for.

And with that you mean smart and cunning, skillful and enduring, right?

They are indeed. Look at you still knowing that at three am.

I know a lot of things at 3am.

I know that you're awake at 3am as well. Trouble sleeping?

It's called being a frost giant hybrid. I am only a bit past my bedtime. I'm the one that everyone loves because she ends up cleaning up after parties that end early.

Except there's not many parties around here, Kat.

Yeah, I noticed. Hence I'm bored at 2am. Sometimes I do miss my time. There was a lot more going on there.

Maybe you should make your own fun.

You tell me this after pointing out how much I am like my father? ;-)

I have thrown parties but most people here have kids. There's never gonna be a full house where you get people to stay till the sun comes up. God, I do miss Jay.

I don't know if your father likes parties but I can't imagine he's the type.

Not everyone has children, though.

I more meant that it is dangerous to tell someone who is like my father to create their own fun. ;-) Dad would just take that as one big challenge to fuck things over as royally as he can.

No, they don't. But not everyone is interested in a good party either. I doubt that more than a handful will show up. When I tried to throw Thor an engagement party, I felt like I almost needed to drag people over.
