The Omni does help use even the simple screwdriver better.

Hah, and now you're using it against us...

I did, actually. You haven't heard that story?

Yup, and yup.

Yes and I try not to think about it. You being dead is not something I enjoy talking about, even for heroic reasons.

A kid after my own heart. Shit. I'm in trouble.

I'm in one piece now, that's all that matters. And I saved as many of my crew as I could. Some good people died anyway, but I couldn't have saved them. And some of my crew were stubborn bastards, and told fate and death to screw off.

What can I say? I like crawling around in starship guts and getting my hands dirty.

Maybe, but I still don't like thinking about it.

There's not enough of us kid.

Yeah, I get that. I do. I'm not immune to death and dying, especially when it comes to my loved ones.

There's more of us later on. My little sister is a programming wiz, for example.

Well at least you're here now.

How many more?

I am. And I'm happy to be here. Not many can say that.

Lots. Between you and dad, uncle Jake and Suni, uncle Tommy, aunt Sarah, there's plenty of technically inclined Sullys running around, plus new arrivals.

No, not just you and dad. We aren't only children by a long shot, but it isn't as large as what dad grew up in back in his original timeline.

Really? His sisters and brothers weren't...

Things could be different in this timeline.

Yeah. Grandma and Grandpa Sully had a bit of a rough time of it when everyone left the island. If everything goes the way I was told growing up then we'll see them all again soon.

Good. You kids need to know your grandparents. Or at least one set of them.

What were your parents like?

They were brave and hard working. My Mom was a lot like your Grandma, without all the babies, my Dad was a mechanic, so he taught me a lot of what I know as far as fixing things go.
