Today was amazing. Today was really amazing.
There are some days where all of the tantrums, the screaming, the crying, the explosive nappies, the headaches don't matter because good days like this make it all worth it.
One little one took their first steps at home and is now determined to keep going. Another little one is all proud of theirself for learning a favorite song we sing and didn't get any of the words wrong. Another infant was happy to snuggle against me most of the afternoon making those cute little baby noises and smiled.
Somedays I don't just like my job, I love it. |

Apparently I'm a terrible person for even suggesting that a child needs a consistent bed time. How dare I. I'm truly a monster for suggesting that kids this young need that kind of structure in their lives. Along with you know, most other things. Like baths. Or making sure that your kid doesn't just eat jelly beans for dinner "because they seem to like it and it's the only way to make them stop crying". Be the grown up. Deal with it.
Right. I'm the monster here.

So...yes! Just like Iain said the reason we were gone this weekend was we finally had that talk we put off forever, and as a result, he proposed!!

One of my charges gave me another drawing today, he was so delighted when I hung it up on the wall. Really, you should have seen his little face light right up. My heart.
And on top of that Rosie agreed to go plant/seed shopping with me this weekend so that I can get more than just weeding and prep done in our garden this weekend. I'm so excited. I think I'm finally happy with how I mapped it out.

First day at my new job was really good. My master is very intelligent, muggleborn, and has an exceptional resume. I am really excited to see what this path has in store for me, and hopefully I will be able to make positive changes in the world. |

I am very curious what indemnity the ministry has against any claims filed as a result of these massive floor issues.

Not that I have anything major planned, though I did get into a hot yoga class tomorrow morning, so that's rather exciting. And pick up my sewing machine from being repaired. Oh, and of course listen to some pre-season matches with a certain fantastic flatmate! |
