If anyone has been missing me this week, I have decamped to my parents because it's the French Open! I do love clay court tennis, and I am very sad I am not there this year. Instead, I am watching matches and studying in between in the evenings. I'll spend the weekend catching up on the matches I missed while I was at work.

These are the colors that the future Duchess has chosen for her wedding. I am seriously considering asking my brother if she is colour blind. This has to be some sort of crime against humanity that violates some sort of human rights law. |

Muggle 'Law & Order' - Complete Guide might be one of the most ridiculous books I have ever had the displeasure of reading. The perceptions the author has of the muggle legal system is almost comical, especially given it is written about 18th century laws - and was written in 1953. For one thing, you can't try animals or corpses in a court of law anymore.
I did discover an old English law I want to dig into more, the 1736 Witchcraft Act, which made witchcraft legal, but made pretending to be a witch illegal. This would have been over 50 years after the Statue of Secrecy. There has to be a great story there just waiting to be told. |

I have spent most of today deep in the technicalities of the Decree for Justifiable Confiscation, especially as it applies to wills and trusts. I find the law to be very interesting, however, there are some interesting cases of how these restrictions can potentially be usurped with enough legalese in the trust documents.
So tonight, I am writing a mock trust to see if I can potentially protect family heirlooms so I can understand all of the mechanics of this process. |

One of my charges gave me another drawing today, he was so delighted when I hung it up on the wall. Really, you should have seen his little face light right up. My heart.
And on top of that Rosie agreed to go plant/seed shopping with me this weekend so that I can get more than just weeding and prep done in our garden this weekend. I'm so excited. I think I'm finally happy with how I mapped it out.

First day at my new job was really good. My master is very intelligent, muggleborn, and has an exceptional resume. I am really excited to see what this path has in store for me, and hopefully I will be able to make positive changes in the world. |

I survived another week with minimal scarring/burns/broken bones. Last night I was good and iced and pasted myself, and you know, rested as the Medi's told me to. But now I've bounced back and ready to go. Where? Not sure yet, the day's still plenty early. I've already restrung my guitar, so now I'm just playing with Cheese debating what I should get into tonight. |
