i think it's time for a holiday
my back is sore and my hands are cramping
i've at lest finished the piece for the anthology submission
and the piece for the gallery, so
the last tick off the list for a while
feels like a glass of wine is due, at least
don't suppose anyone's keen to pick up a little extra work

nothing fancy, but i'll pay

It looks like my short trip to Brussels for the quarterly ICW meeting will now be a longer trip to Beijing after the International Association of Pyrotechnic Potioners had a bit of a mishap at the conference center we were due to use.
The ICW will now be debating regulations on wizarding fireworks and pyrotechnics, including grading them based on size.
I am surprised that there is not a single book on wizarding pyrotechnics written by an Weasley expert with significant practical experience.

Has it felt like an entire week of Mondays for anyone else so far?
I think I might have to figure out a night out this weekend to make up for all of this. Save for Sunday, promised da I'd got to mass with him and then make a family dinner for all of us. But that still leaves plenty of time Friday and Saturday for some kind of fun. |

In honour of our lovely snow moon tonight, I thought it might be nice to try and get to know each other a little better through a game! We used to play this sort of thing often in camp, usually with either hard hitters or 'scandalous', but I think I will start it off with some simpler ones and you can decide where we go from there.

The post-Valentine candy crew that come in are really an interesting bunch. Some are opportunistic - just getting in some affordable stock for people they didn't see since before Valentine's day, but still want to look thoughtful for. Some are just frugal. And nothing is more strange than someone being frugal about candy, which is basically the most frivolous food. Some are sad sad sacks. Just buying candy for themselves at discount prices. It'd really be the perfect place for a cute first encounter. A sad lonely sack and a frugal old man? Come on. Either that or the sugar fumes are coating my brain in a fine candy shell. I guess it's better than letting these sad sacks get me down.
Who knows how to crack a back? Like... well. Not just willy nilly cracking. |

WELL HI EVERYBODY. It took me almost three days to get unpacked but I've finally quit being lazy and done it. It'll still take a little more time to get fully settled in but I think I can stand to entertain guests at this point... obviously the best thing about living in a building with all your friends is that you can get together on weeknights just as easily as you can go out on weekends!
Everyone's invited - come have fancy umbrella drinks with me and play board games. I brought all my best ones with me!

Yeah so I'm going to give being a vegetarian a try for a bit. I've been really bad about my meals and stuff lately so, figured maybe this will force me into better habits and force me to eat more greens and stuff. Plus you know, I'm not a huge meat eater anyway, so makes sense to at least try it. We'll see. |
