Gwendolyn was annoyed. No, annoyed didn't quite cover just how she was feeling at the moment. One of her good friends went out to dinner with the man she was well, involved with. She was annoyed with Astoria, too, but mostly she was upset with him. After all, he should know better. It was not right at all that he should be having it on with her friends. He claimed to love her, so what exactly was he doing try to romance another woman and call her princess. She never got cute nicknames like that!

Marching up to his front door, Gwendolyn knocked loudly then leaned back a little to cross her arms so that she could glare at him properly when he finally opened the door. Adrian needed to know that he really should not be seeing her friends. The Weasley girl was one thing, and it was gross, but this was so much worse. When the door opened, she gave him her best annoyed look.

"So, how was it? Have fun with your princess?"

"That's different," he said, with a shrug. His sister's always looked up to him, but he adored them and had always tried to do everything in his power to make them happy. "They're family, and they forgive you when you mess it up." He was glad she was amused, but he didn't laugh, just watched her, his lips curling at the corners. "I don't really have an agent. Just the team manager."

	"I suppose so." Gwen said with a shrug, but part of her kind of wanted to help, if she could. "Then we'll just have to get you an agent." Gwen said with a shake of her head. 	He smirked a little, liking the way she referred to them as "we." He knew it was stupid, after everything she'd said earlier, but any sign of unity between them felt promising. 	Gwendolyn smiled, pleased that Adrian seemed to be agreeing to her plan. "Good. We'll get started on Monday, send out a few owls. Do any of your teammates have agents?" "Sure am," he said, summoning the bottle and moving over to where she was sitting to refill her glass. Once he'd done his own he sat down again, but this time closer to her, though, not touching her. He thought about asking her to make some kind of date over it, but was afraid that it might come across as another come on that she wasn't ready for. He was a pretty good cook, thanks mostly to his mum, and one of the things he could make well was quiche. "How about I cook lunch for us? See if we can make it through a meal without me crying like a baby."

	"Great." Gwen said with a smile as the bottle came over, she gave him another small smile when he filled her glass. "Thanks very much." She said once her glass was refilled. "Now, Ade, I believe it was me who was crying like a child." Gwendolyn said with a shake of her head, a small smile playing on her lips. "Yes, lunch would be lovely, we can discuss strategy." If she hadn't seen him crying, he wasn't going to point out that he had very nearly broken down, so he just dismissed it. He wanted to reach out and touch her face, but he wasn't sure how such intimacy would be taken right now, and he had promised himself that any moves would need to be hers.

"Great. Looking forward to it," he said, cheerfully, clenching his fist that still itched to touch her. Deciding, that a change of subject was needed, he steered the conversation towards somewhere safer. He already knew some of what her plans were, having read the conversation with Astoria in the journals. Now that she's asked him not to, he couldn't very well continue to pretend to be dating Stori, so he had to think of a new strategy. He had one in mind, but it was risky. "So, got much planned for the weekend?"

Gwen smiled again, leaning slightly toward him as they spoke. This was what they should always be like. It was so much easier to talk about their lives and the things going on rather than feelings. Gwen took another sip from her glass and nodded.

"A bit. Wanted to go out tomorrow, but we'll behaving rehearsals until late, so might only go for a couple of drinks. Going with the girls out to the Pit on Saturday." Gwen said as she took another sip. "Maybe a bit of a pubcrawl, if it's not too cold, but just a girls' night. Then probably stay in on Sunday. Have to get up early for rehearsals on Monday." She said with a pout. "Have you got anything planned?"

Well, now he knew where he could find her if he could convince Weasley to go along with what he had planned. He still wasn't sure she'd go for it, being seen in public would be just as much trouble for her as it would for him, but if it got Gwen as angry as he though it might, it would all be worth it.

"Not anything planned, but I know a few things I wouldn't mind doing," he said, keeping an air of mystery about it all. "Depends on someone else and if they have plans."

Taking another sip from her glass, Gwendolyn frowned just a little as he went on about his weekend. She knew he wasn't talking about her, as she'd already told him about her plans, but surely he wasn't talking about Astoria again. Not after all this. Opening her mouth to ask, Gwendolyn closed it and took another sip. She wasn't going to ask. She wasn't going to be that girl.

"Sounds good. Must be nice to have some time off, away from the pitch for a bit." She said, hoping to change the topic.

He was watching her closely, and was a little gratified to see the frown. Whether she wanted to admit it or not, she wasn't happy about the possibility of him seeing someone else, regardless of whether she was friends with them or not.

"Yeah, it's not bad, though I have been on the pitch, with Ginny the other day," he said, trying to make it sound off-handed and casual.

Gwendolyn tensed when Adrian mentioned Ginny, her hand gripping her knee a bit harder. She lifted her glass again, downing it. "That's great." She squeaked out, coughing a little and managing a proper smile this time. She could be professional about this, she was an actress. Gwendolyn straightened her spine. "I'm sure it's good for you to practice a bit. When do you go back again?"

He hid his smile behind a sip. He was right. It did bother her. Maybe things weren't as hopeless with her as he thought. It would be a huge gamble, but if he were to go on a date with Ginny, maybe Gwen would realise that she didn't want him to be with anyone else but her.

"First week of February, but I'll probably start my own personal training regime next week," he said.

	Gwen was trying really hard to be pleasant, but the idea of Ginny bloody Weasley was getting her. So instead she looked at the bottle and smiled at Adrian, lightly resting her hand on his knee. 	"Not at all," he said, reaching for the bottle without moving his leg, not willing to lose that small amount of contact, even for a second. He poured her another glass and topped up his own, the placed it back on the coffee table. "Mostly in the gym for weight training, but also a bit of cardio. Jogging is good. Do you do much exercie?" Smiling as Adrian filled up her glass. "Cheers." She said, as she picked up her glass again, removing her hand from Adrian's knee after a few moments. "That's good, I have noticed that you've changed a lot, but well it's been ages." Gwen nodded. "I do a bit of spinning, and I take a dance class every week." She took another few sips from her glass. In truth she preferred reducing food over increasing exercise, but the classes were fun at least. "I don't try to stay too it, but a bit of something doesn't hurt, especially if it's fun."

	He didn't like that she moved her hand away, he again hid his expression in his glass. He sensed an opportunity to spend more time together. "Well, actually, I was reading that some of the Muggle football players use dancing. It can be a good cardio workout, or something," he said, idly. "I was thinking about taking some lessons. "Do they really?" Gwendolyn asked in surprise, though she couldn't hide the small smile at the thought of Adrian attending the class with her. "There's that studio not too far from Flourish." Gwen said, pausing to take a sip. "Mind you, it's a proper work-out class, so it can be tough." Gwen explained. "It's on Wednesday nights at six, and I'm sure you'd enjoy it. I sometimes take the Latin dance classes on Thursdays as well."

"That's just what I read. I read quite a few fitness magazines. It was in Quidditch Monthly once," he said, trying to sound casual. "But yeah, if I've got the time, I wouldn't mind it. If you don't mind me being there, of course."

He liked the idea of doing a latin dance with her. He'd seen them done before, and it was full of sexually charged energy. They'd certainly steam up the floor as they had plenty of that.

"No, of course I wouldn't mind. We could always use more men at the dance class. And I wouldn't mind seeing you try to dance." Gwen said, her eyes meeting his and giggling softly at the thought. It was a teasing smile, accompanied by a light brush of his knee. Taking another sip from her glass, Gwen smiled at him again. "Mind you, it's not a beginner class, so we might have to have some private lessons."

	Thanks to Jess, he was already a pretty accomplished dancer, as Gwen well knew. They'd danced together a couple of times now, but her teasing touch had him catching her fingers in his hand and tugging her to her feet as he stood. "Show me a few moves, then," he requested, then he took her glass and placed it beside his on the coffee table. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Gwendolyn didn't doubt his ability, but teasing him felt good, maybe a little less tense than things usually were between the two of them. He caught her hand and she gasped but giggled as he pulled her up.

"Right, lets give Salsa a try then?" Gwendolyn suggested as she stood up straight. Her hand went to his waist the other clasping his hand. They didn't have any music, that that was okay, she could still sing it in her head. "Have you ever danced it?" Gwendolyn asked. "We'll take it in a few steps, 1, 2, 3 okay?"

	He hadn't really expected her not to play along but he was still glad when she did. He curled his fingers around hers and put his hand at her hip. He had learned to waltz and to tango, but the salsa was new to him. "Not yet," he answered. "Okay, show me." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Gwendolyn smiled at him, adjusting his hand briefly. She stepped back for a moment, still keeping his hand on her hip. "Okay, just look down at my feet." Gwendolyn said, looking down and hoping she had given him enough space so he could see properly.

"Right, so you're going to step toward me. Forward first." Gwen said, stepping back to show him. "Don't move yet." She warned. "So step forward, then put your weight back on your back foot and feet back together." She said, as she moved, slowly,. her hips swaying as she moved. "Think you got that?" She said, looking up at him now.
