Gwendolyn was annoyed. No, annoyed didn't quite cover just how she was feeling at the moment. One of her good friends went out to dinner with the man she was well, involved with. She was annoyed with Astoria, too, but mostly she was upset with him. After all, he should know better. It was not right at all that he should be having it on with her friends. He claimed to love her, so what exactly was he doing try to romance another woman and call her princess. She never got cute nicknames like that!

Marching up to his front door, Gwendolyn knocked loudly then leaned back a little to cross her arms so that she could glare at him properly when he finally opened the door. Adrian needed to know that he really should not be seeing her friends. The Weasley girl was one thing, and it was gross, but this was so much worse. When the door opened, she gave him her best annoyed look.

"So, how was it? Have fun with your princess?"

	Adrian walked over to the cabinet that hid the wireless and opened it. He flipped the power on and started to search for some music. "Just say stop when you hear something," he said. Flipping through the channels, Gwendolyn waited until she heard something appropriate. "There." she said, and he tuned it properly before heading back to her. When he held out his hand she smiled and nodded.

"It would be a pleasure." She said smoothly as she took his hand. "Now, just the steps we practised, okay?" She said, as she started to move in the same steps, counting out loud for him, in the hopes that it would help.

He nodded as he took her in his arms and started to move, using the steps she had taught him, glad she was counting as it meant he didn't have to. Thankfully, concentrating on not stepping on her toes kept him from letting her proximity get him too excited. It was nice, to just be with her and not letting their passion for each other cloud things. He wondered if he would be able to say no to her, if she did make a move. It would be better for him, as he couldn't separate his body and his heart when it came to her.

"How am I doing?" he asked after a few minutes.

"Really well." Gwen said smiling at him, between counts. "Now lets make it a little difficult." Gwen said, a glint in her eye. "A twirl." She sat as she showed him, stepping toward him. "Just keep your hand up and I'll twirl under it." She said, as she stepped out and twirled beneath his arm. "Now back toward you. Wrap your arms around me." She said as she spun toward him, pausing a moment in his arms before started back up in the steps they'd already practised. "And now a little faster."

	When she prompted him to, he held up his arm and she spun under it, her hair sweeping past his face. Then, she spun back towards him, and he wrapped his arms around her like she told him to. Well, that was fairly easy, and he handled the second time just as well. "You're so graceful," he murmured when she was in his arms again, swaying against him. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"And you are a very quick study." Gwendolyn retorted with a smile up at Adrian. She leaned in game him a quick peck on the lips before making him spin her out again. She'd held her breath a bit as she waited for something to start, and when it didn't, she smiled. Then laughed. "I guess that's true." She shook her head as she walked over to their gasses. She could have argued that it was his fault they hadn't gotten to know each other, that she had no idea that their background were so familiar, but what purpose would that serve? "I'm glad you think I'm nice." She giggled as she picked up her glass and took another sip. "You're not so bad yourself."

	Every time he managed to make her laugh, it felt like she was giving him a little gift, the way the sound made him feel. He wished she felt comfortable and happy enough around him to laugh more, but maybe that was something he could work on. "I'm glad you think I'm not so bad," he said, grinning. "Well, the fact that you can move really well, certainly helps." Gwen said with a teasing smile. She took another sip and moved in a little closer to Adrian, her hand resting on his knee. "You know I am making you go dancing with me more often now." Gwen warned nudging his knee lightly. "Maybe we'll find a salsa club, I haven't seen any in Diagon, but maybe we can convince Theo to give us a night at the club?"

She laughed at his response, how quickly he knew the answer. "Stargazer lilies." She said in response to his question. "Though I happen to like most lilies, the colours just quite pretty on the stargazer variety. I like daisies too, simple as they are. My father gets a bouquet every year on his birthday." Gwendolyn said, her smile a little softer as she thought of her dad. She did miss him sometimes. "I'd ask you yours, but I doubt you have any, so favourite colour?"

He filed the information away, to be used at an appropriate time, and laughed, shaking his head.

"No, I don't have one. They all look the same to me, and they smell funny," he admitted. He paused before he answered, reaching out to brush the hair away from her face, and running his thumb across her cheek. "Blue." That answer was easy. Her eyes, which could make him happy, or miserable with just a look, were definitely his favourite colour. "Yours?"

"Smell funny?" Gwen asked with a laugh. "How can they smell funny." When his fingers caressed her cheek, she smiled again, sighing softly. "Green, and pink." She said, giggling. "You know me, always have to be unusual, and can't just pick one. Though not together, unless they're the right shade." She paused, trying to think so something. "Now you ask me something."

Ask her something? The first thing that popped into his head was wholly inappropriate and confusing, considering that he'd been doing so well not thinking about how much he loved her. He did have the presence of mind to know that asking her to marry him right now was a mistake, but thinking of something else with that thought floating around was hard.

	"Apparition." Gwendolyn said, wrinkling her nose a little at the thought of flooing. "Granted, floo is easier, and even faster in some cases, but it's just so dirty." She shook her head. "Somehow I knew you'd prefer to fly." Gwen said with a smirk, not that she could very well bring herself to stay on a broom for overly long. At the question of happiest memory, Gwendolyn paused. "I'm not sure." She said finally, trying to think about any of her memories, really. "Mum's wedding was fun, and I remember curling up with Will and Izzie when we were little, he'd read us goodnight stories, I think of those fondly. Do you have a happiest memory?"

"You don't like to fly?" he asked, wondering why he'd never taken her flying at school. He would have loved to have her seated in front of him while he took flew her around the pitch.

"I can think of a few nice ones, yeah. Holding my sisters when they were born is up there, winning my first Quidditch cup at Hogwarts, and there's one nice memory of sitting in the common room with the prettiest girl in the world on my lap," he said, running his thumb along the back of her hand.
