WHO: The Master & Molly Suresh
WHAT: The Master thinks Molly will be useful for information and thus, goes to get some.
WHEN: May 3rd; Afternoon
WHERE: The Student Activity Centre
RATING: PG
STATUS: In Progress

It really was the best situation the Master thought that he could hope for in a place like this. Cut off from the sort of resources that he tended to have, without the ability to lay a trap or disguise himself in some way that the Doctor wouldn't immediately recognize him, the next best thing really was getting his hands on one of the Doctor's companions just to insert his superiority over his old friend. There was also a lot of potential information that this young woman could provide him with if she was honestly incapable of not being honest. If this television show really did show everything that the Doctor did, that he had done, the Master could use her knowledge to get one step ahead of his old friend, to figure out how the Doctor would foil one of his next plots, and correct the issues so that it wasn't so easily undone. He'd have to go back to his own time soon enough, after all, and then, then, he would have the advantage.

Heading to where this Molly had told him that she would be, the Master closed the distance between the two of them with a playful smile, "And this is much better. There's something to a face to face conversation that just isn't there in communication via any type of device," He said, climbing the stairs slowly with a devious glint in his eye. "Particularly in the ability to ask questions without the delay in between them. So, tell me, my dear. Just what weaknesses of the Doctor can I exploit?" He asked with a bit of a chuckle. "Other than his friend, of course. I've known that one for awhile."

Setting the kettle on to boil, Molly cast a glance at the Master and focused on replying to the last thing he'd said in a vain attempt not to answer his questions immediately. "It isn't as though I'm cooperating by choice. You're just cheating," she pointed out mildly. Glancing out the small window over her sink, she watched Brandy chasing a butterfly in the yard. When she finally spoke again, her gaze remained focused on her dog and her tone sounded a bit distant.

"Rory used to be a centurion in an alternate reality. He still remembers bits of it and can hold his own in a fight. He's a survivor, above all else, and ridiculously loyal." She smiled fondly as she thought about him. "He can seem a bit inept but he's anything but. He's just a man in love and will stop at nothing to help those he cares about. Particularly Amy." With a soft sigh, Molly turned to face the Master.

"And you've met River. She's the one who blackmailed the Doctor into marrying her. She's just as clever as the Doctor, a crackshot with a gun, prone to violence, a bit psychopathic, was raised and trained to be the perfect assassin for the Doctor, and is completely in love with him." Her eyes shone a bit as she tacked on, "She's also Amy and Rory's daughter, conceived on the TARDIS in the Time Vortex." She stopped there, not feeling compelled to elaborate any further and therefore not doing so. Although, after a moment of pause, she did add, "The Doctor could, conceivably, reign Rory in. But I can promise you, if you cross a line in River's mind, there's not a single person anywhere - not even the Doctor - who will stop her. It simply isn't possible."

Rory didn't sound like too much of a problem. A little bit of knowledge certainly would make him more capable than some of the other people around here, but at the end of the day, he would still be human with all of the drawbacks that they entitled. But River. River was trickier. Molly was right in that she would likely be unrelenting in her pursuit of him should he do anything to harm her mother. So obviously, Amy wasn't an option. As much as the Master wanted to deal with the Doctor, he didn't want to deal with anyone else that would come with it.

"How about this Claire, then?" The Master asked as he offered Molly a bit of a smile as he stepped down from the kitchenette to observe the other areas of the flat. Particularly, the rather large set of maps that were displayed prominently on the wall. "What forces might I be stirring up should I decide to use her to achieve my end goals? Anything that I'd be rather unlikely to be able to deal with?" He asked, furrowing his brow as he took another step towards the maps and turned his head to inspect the notations and pins that seemed to cover them. Odd. Very odd.

"Funny, I didn't take you for the stalker type," The Master said after a moment, glancing back over his shoulder at Molly. "Not that is isn't good work. Just seems rather out of place. Such a goodie-goodie with such an unnerving display. No. I'm certain this has some use other than the one that I'm thinking of."

For one brief, glorious moment, Molly thought that he was going to leave his question as open-ended as simply asking about Claire herself. As much as she hated the thought of doing it, she knew if he did, she was going to do everything to make Claire seem as worthwhile to abduct as possible if only because she knew that not only could Claire handle being at the Master's not-exactly-mercy, but with her came a whole slew of trouble the Time Lord wouldn't see coming. Unfortunately, though, he didn't leave the question at that and Molly felt her hopes dashed as she was left to answer truthfully the one thing she had hoped to sneakily avoid telling him.

"Let's see. Claire doesn't feel pain and doesn't stay dead. The Doctor is the godfather of her children and she's extremely close with him." Pausing, Molly then felt herself compelled to add, "She also is married to a man who hunts supernatural beings for a living back home, and who makes a regular habit out of finding ways to track, and kill, things that shouldn't be able to have either happen to them." Another pause, although this time it was because the kettle began to whistle and she wasn't going to yell to be heard over it.

Once she'd removed it from the heat, she sighed and looked to the Master again even if he wasn't paying attention to her any longer. "Claire is also very close with several powerful beings, many who do possess the ability to make it so you never existed at all. So if it's a war you want with the majority of Colligo, go for her. But if you're looking for someone you can mess with who won't come with a veritable army, she's not the one. Not even by a longshot."

Then, teeth gritted as he jumped right into the next question, Molly stated, "And I'm not a stalker. I'm just doing what I can to help keep track of the comings, goings, and changes of the nonlocals in the city." Sighing softly, she poured them each a cup of tea as she explained in a much more even toned voice.

"I'm clairvoyant. I can find anyone, or anything, anywhere. Aside from a few blind spots outside of the city limits and the Grand Library, that is." Setting the teapot down, she added, "And before you even ask, no. I will not tell you where the Doctor is at right now. The TARDIS-colored blue pushpin is his last known location, if you want to see where I have him marked on the map, but the last time I looked for him without checking first, he was mid-travel outside the city and I wound up unconscious for half of the day as well as bled out my ears for a good hour or so. I may have to be honest right now but I doubt that extends so far as to force me to use my ability under those particular circumstances."

A pause then, as though she hadn't just discussed her own near death at having seen the TARDIS mid-travel from her own, unique perspective, she asked politely, "Cream or sugar with your tea?"

Not Claire then, either. Really, it sounded like his options were being quickly limited by the connections that everyone had outside of his nemesis. He didn't want to put himself at risk of death or elimination. He already tested his own people enough in that respect that it was a wonder they hadn't deatomized him yet. And he hardly wanted to be wiped from existence in a place that wasn't even technically supposed to exist itself by the laws of time and space. So the Master quietly took Molly's rundown of the facts before turning at her description of herself. This place certainly seemed to be full of humans far, far more interesting than many of the ones that he'd come across during his life time, but his thoughts about how he could ask her to help him was shattered by her proclamation that she wasn't going to go looking for the Doctor. As understandable as her reasoning was to him, the Master couldn't help but smile as an idea occurred to him.

"You might not be able to tell me where to look, but you can help me bring him to me," The Master said with a wicked glint in his eye before turning to head back to the kitchen. "Three sugars and a bit of milk, if you have it," He said before offering her a self-assured smile. "And you, my dear, I think would make the perfect bait. Not that I intend for you to be overly compliant. Most people aren't when bound and used as a lure for their dearest friends, but it really would make things simpler. I've already got you here, after all. Saves me the trouble of throwing another step in there."

Frowning in thought, not because of what the Master was planning but rather because she wasn't certain if she had any milk or not, she made her way to the fridge and peered inside. Pulling the carton out, she glanced at the expiration date then opened it and took a whiff, just to be safe. "You're in luck," she announced, glancing over at him as she moved back to where she was preparing the tea. "I only ever have milk on hand for guests so more often than not, it's not all that safe to drink if no one has been over for a while. But this one still has a week or so before it goes bad."

Growing silent as she prepared his tea then her own, she carried them to the table and sat down, setting his cup at the spot of the table across from her own. "Just so I'm clear on this," she finally said calmly, as if they were discussing the weather rather than her own kidnapping. "You plan on binding me and using me as a lure to get the Doctor to come to you?"

Taking a sip of her tea, she peered over at him for a moment before asking simply, "Out of curiosity, have you tried just asking him to stop by? Or are you just assuming he won't so you're coming up with a complex plan that will probably fail pretty spectacularly because it's so complex to begin with?"

"The Doctor is smart enough not to just wander willing into a trap. Not without the proper incentive or without realizing that that is what he's stepping into," The Master said, casting a long glance back at Molly. "I hardly have the chance or the ability to set up an elaborate illusion here to snare him, so I just have to go for motivation." Taking a sip of his tea, the Master offered Molly a quirk of a smile. "It's hardly complex when all I'm doing is waving you under his nose and telling him to come and get you. Beyond that, really, the plans can't get much more complicated. I just need something to keep him in place until I've figured out what to do with him."

Really, this was the major issue with plans made up on the fly. He never had all of the details in place when they really needed to be.

Sparing a glance around the flat, the Master furrowed his brow before turning back to Molly, "I don't really think this will do as a place to keep him, though. No, I definitely need somewhere a little more... Like us," He said. "I think that means you'll be accompany back to the place where I've been staying. My old girl will be far more equipped to trap him than anything here."

Molly sighed softly, resisting the urge to pinch the bridge of her nose by instead reaching for one of the biscuits she'd set out on a plate between them. Tearing off a piece, she popped it into her mouth and chewed thoughtfully. Once she'd swallowed, and taken another sip of her tea, she spoke again.

"You know," she said simply, "it's a sad day when I'd make a better villain than you do." Not elaborating, at least not yet, she instead took another drink of her tea before staring down at the murky liquid for a few long seconds. It really was ridiculous, she decided, that it had to come to this. The Master was playing a game he had to know he was going to lose and, as much as she hoped he did, she still felt almost sorry for him and therefore compelled to help him in at least some, small way. With a soft sigh, she looked back up at him.

"You could contact the Doctor and ask him to stop by for tea and he would. Not because he's any less clever than he once was, but because he wouldn't expect you to do anything here because the you that was here before wasn't doing anything like what you're planning." Raising her teacup to her lips once more, she spoke over the brim of it as she elaborated. "If, however, you contact him and tell him that you're holding me hostage, one of two things is going to happen. Either he's going to show up, fully prepared and able to easily beat you as he always does." Taking a sip, she set her cup down and offered him a thin smile.

"Or, he's going to sit back and let me take care of the situation myself." Molly's smile grew ever so slightly. "As for taking me out of this apartment, against my will? You're welcome to try." She broke off another piece of biscuit. "Of course, if you do, I'm just going to call for Aziraphale, let him show up and deal with you, and maybe - if you're very lucky - I'll convince him not to destroy you on the spot."

Reaching for the teapot, she added simply, "Because make no mistake. A Time Lord may be able to best humans, but an angel can easily best a Time Lord. Especially since he defies every law of science that you hold dear simply by existing." Pouring herself some more tea, Molly grew silent for a second before finally tacking on, "But if you really insist on following through with this, there's a good chance I won't call for him unless I really need him. Like, say, if you try to tie me up and gag me, or drug me, or put me in some kind of containment field, or whatever else that mind of yours is cooking up instead of simply going with the least complex way by simply asking me to come along."

The fact that she implied that she would be a better villain then him provoked a defensive flare in the Master, "I know what I'm doing," The Master spat even as much as he knew that there were almost always occasions that popped up when he started grabbing desperately for anything that he thought might work because his understanding of the situation just fell through. And more often than not, those situations were ones that involved the Doctor and his friends. "And it all just depends upon how I announce the fact that I have you. Now, if we're just sharing an afternoon drink like we are now, granted, at my place, really, what reason would he have to think that I meant anything by it? You can always come with me willingly, and well, we just see how things go," He said, quirking an eyebrow at her as he raised his teacup in a bit of a salute before emptying it and setting it down in front of him and stepped away from the kitchen.

"And you? Take care of the situation on your own?" The Master asked with a laugh, one which showed both his disdain as well as his pride in his own abilities. "Whatever friends you may have, my dear, and however often they are willing to come to your rescue, that's still hardly a reason for the Doctor to stand aside and trust someone else to take the reins. Angel or no."

Turning back to Molly with a bit of a smile, he held his hand out to her before bowing ever so slightly in a very regal way, "Will you be so kind as to accompany me back to my flat, then, Ms. Suresh? I can assure you, I have no intentions of doing anything to keep you restrained in such a way if you prove to be cooperative."

Well. He couldn't claim later that she hadn't warned him, at any rate. With a soft sigh, Molly finished her cup of tea and rose to her feet. Before answering if he'd accompany her, she calmly raised her hand to her mouth, stuck two fingers between her lips, and whistled loudly. An instant later, her dog was bounding through the doggy door and running at her at full steam.

"I will in just a moment. I need to take care of Brandy, first," she told the Time Lord before turning on her heel and making her way to where she kept the dog food. Pouring some out for the Dachshund, she petted the dog behind the ears for a few seconds and murmured, "Now, you be a good girl while I'm gone. I'll be back soon." Then she grabbed a gate leaning against the wall and set it up so that Brandy couldn't leave the kitchen area. She still had access to the backyard, of course, but the rest of the apartment was off limits.

Once she was finished, Molly sighed and turned to the Master. "All right," she said evenly and in an extremely calm tone. "I'm ready. I have an interview at four tomorrow that I really need to make, so it's best to just get this over with, I suppose." She knew she probably shouldn't be so laid back about being kidnapped but, really, she couldn't seem to work herself up much about it. Not when she was already developing a plan to turn the situation to her advantage as soon as they were aboard his TARDIS... provided he didn't directly ask if she had a plan, of course.

The Master couldn't help but laugh at how nonchalant she was being about this, "The way you're acting, you'd almost think you were kidnapped on a biweekly basis, my dear. I'll keep my fingers crossed that our dear Doctor answers my call before that time, then. Otherwise, I'm afraid you'll probably be horribly out of luck," He said with a smile, leading Molly out of her place and back to his. It didn't take very long.

Even as much as the Master had been staying inside his TARDIS in the time that he'd been here, he hadn't moved it from the flat that it had been in when he'd arrived. The disguise of it as a fireplace was a good old standard that brought back familiar memories, and he hadn't really seen the point in trying to hide himself away. As if anyone could really do anything to hurt him.

Stepping into the flat and leading Molly over to the TARDIS, he paused, smiling as he motioned towards the fireplace for her to go first, "After you, my dear. And really, you've been so good about it so far. I have to say, I appreciate it. Usually I have to hypnotize my captives to get them to be some compliant. Keep this up, because I would hate to have to do the same to you. I completely ruins the ability to have a conversation."

Stepping inside of his TARDIS, Molly glanced around a bit before finally turning her attention to the Master as he also entered. Since leaving her own place, she had come up with, and discarded, a half dozen different ways to try and get away from him. However the moment he mentioned hypnotism, she knew she had a feasible escape and she wasted no time in acting on it. She had to pick her words carefully, of course, but she was fairly certain she could manage without too much trouble.

"Hypnotism?" she finally retorted, leaning lightly against a nearby railing as she stared at him with a disbelieving look. "Yeah, right," she scoffed as she slid her hands into the pockets of her jeans and actually snorted in derision. "Have you ever tried hypnotizing a clairvoyant?" she questioned while arching an eyebrow at him in a silent challenge. "No, clearly not."

She didn't say more, instead glancing around his TARDIS and poking at him in another way in the hopes of irritating him enough that he'd consider doing precisely what he said he wasn't' going to have to do to her. "I don't like this one as much as the Doctor's," she announced flatly, looking back to the Time Lord. "Have you seen his? She's so much brighter and nicer. Clearly much better than yours. You should consider redecorating."

Had he ever tried hypnotizing a clairvoyant? No. But he'd managed it plenty with a Traken, and even though he'd had months to lay down that mental connection and quietly corrupt her mind and soul, the Master was certain that whatever she thought she was capable of would be nothing like the strength of his mental manipulation.

Glaring at her, the anger bubbling in his gut to the point that he was ready to try just to silence her statements that he couldn't, she had to add insult to injury. Insult to his TARDIS to be exact. Nobody derailed his baby, especially in a comparison to the box of scraps that the Doctor tried to call a proper ship.

"Then again," the Master bit out, glaring hard at Molly, "there are some times when conversation is overrated," He said, taking a firm step forward to get into her eyeline to lock his gaze with hers and push the mental control that he possessed upon her.

Molly could practically count down to the moment that he decided that hypnotizing her was the best course of action to take. The second he began, she was ready. Rising to her full height as he locked his gaze upon hers, she arched an eyebrow ever so slightly. Then her hand slid out of her pocket, fingers gripping a small mirror that she'd put in there after using it in one of her classes that afternoon.

With no preamble, and not a single word to warn him of what she intended, she held the mirror up in front of her face so that he was instead looking at himself rather than her. "You're right," she intoned as she took a step closer to him to ensure the mirror was all that was in his line of sight. "Conversation really is overrated when talking to a self-righteous blowhard like you."

Telling herself that if this didn't work she was definitely going to yell for Aziraphale instead, she all but held her breath as she waited to see if her plan paid off.

The Master hadn't expected something like that. Something so simple yet so dangerous at the same time. Because there was absolutely no coming back from this. Even if he hadn't started saying the words necessary to get her to comply with him, the mental manipulation had already been turned on full strength, and as it bounced back into his eyes, the glazed over. "You are the Master. I will obey. Obey. Obey," his voice echoed as he slumped slightly, falling sideways towards the console before sliding down it and staring dead into the air. "Obey. Master, give me commands. I will obey."

The great Master of Time and Space, defeated by a hand mirror and human wit. This really was going to be one for the record books.

Well then. That had been much easier than she'd expected. Releasing a breath she hadn't realized she'd even been holding, Molly stared at the Master with a somewhat horrified look on her face before finally snapping out of it. "Just... sit there. Please," she said softly, not feeling at all comfortable with issuing out orders. Giving a slight shudder at the thought that that could have been her had she not had her mirror on hand, she moved toward the console and exhaled slowly.

"Okay, Suresh," she muttered to herself. "You can do this. The Doctor showed you how to fly his, in a pinch, so logic dictates you can fly this one too." Reaching out to touch the panel before her, the TARDIS gave a slight rumble and Molly immediately drew her hand back as if she'd been burnt. She hadn't, but she might as well have been with the start it had given her.

"Hey!" she called out as she looked around, half expecting to see some flesh form of the Master's TARDIS much like Idris. "It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you, all right? I just want to get to the Doctor so he can help the Master. That's all. So let's just work together, okay?" Biting her lip, she hesitantly reached out to touch the console again. When there was no rumbling this time, Molly took that as a good sign and immediately set to work trying to make good on her word.

Taking a chance - a big chance, considering she hadn't been lying when she'd told the Master that looking for the Doctor was rather dangerous for her - she used her ability to locate the Time Lord and set in his coordinates as soon as she had. Then they were off, landing a few moments later in what she hoped was the same flat where the Doctor's TARDIS was located. With a glance at the Master, Molly sighed softly once again and reached for her PDA.

Sending a quick message to the Doctor, she next moved back to the Master and crouched down in front of him. "It'll be okay," she assured him. "The Doctor will know what to do. He'll help. You'll see."

The Doctor looked down at the texts from Molly with a sigh, barely resisting the urge to just facepalm. This was just the sort of thing that he - she? No...he definitely still felt like a he, even with the odd bits - had worried might happen when the Master reverted to this particular regeneration. Well, really, it was a concern with any of the Master's forms, though the current one had mostly learned to behave himself and keep the ridiculousness to a minimum. This one...not so much. He could hardly just lock all his friends in the TARDIS with him until things like this stopped...well, he supposed he could, but he didn't particularly want to on account of...no, just no. So he was mostly glad that the Master had picked someone like Molly, who was more than capable of defending herself. Of course, given the sorts of plans the Master tended to come up with, the Doctor figured he probably could have been bested by just about anyone he associated with these days. Even the twins. No, especially the twins. Claire's children were devious and scary and he really hoped they never decided they wanted to be evil, or they were all doomed.

Mostly, he just wanted to deal with the Master so that he could focus on more important things. Like not getting killed by his wife...again, and stopping her from killing various friends...again. Those sorts of things. Besides, Molly had other things to do, and it was hardly fair to leave her babysitting the Master for longer than necessary. He still couldn't believe the idiot had actually tried to hypnotise Molly. No, on second though, he absolutely could believe that, because it was just the sort of thing he would do. It was just terrible timing and he was quite frustrated with this version of his friend. Still, he really did have to commend Molly on her cleverness.

Stepping out of the TARDIS, and locking her very carefully along with very specific instructions so that Melody wouldn't try to go and steal her or anything, he made his way over to Lolita and stepped inside. "Molly," he called, frowning at the sound of his own voice. How would anyone take him seriously like this? No. That was rude. It was a good thing he'd kept that inside his head, because he was fairly sure Molly would slap him if she heard him talk like that. And he'd probably deserve it. It wasn't that he didn't think girls were brilliant, he just wasn't one. And it felt weird being stuck as one, however temporarily.

He found the girl and the other Time Lord, and sighed, shaking his head. The action got hair in his face, and he pushed it out of the way with another frown. "He really did get himself into a spot this time, didn't he?" he said. "Now...would you like me to wait and let you leave before I fix this, or did you want to stay? I know you have things you need to do."

A look of relief crossed Molly's features when the Doctor finally arrived. The longer she sat there, watching as the Master continued to be a victim to his own hypnotism, the more guilty she began to feel. It wasn't as though she hadn't intended to have this happen to him. She had used the mirror knowing there was every chance this was what would take place. But deciding to do it and following through, as well as seeing the end result, were two very different things.

Still. As much as she wanted to flee the moment she was given an out, Molly found herself unable to do so. "I'm staying," she decided almost before she'd realized she'd even made up her mind. Stepping back to give the Doctor and Master some room, she continued speaking courtesy of the compulsion to tell the entire truth now that she'd been asked a question.

"I may not want to stay," she admitted, "but I think I need to do it. I feel bad enough as it is. If I don't see this through, I'm only going to wind up feeling like I left it unfinished." A brief pause before she gave the Doctor a small smile and added, "Besides. A small part of me wants to be here when he realizes what's happened."

Was it petty? Yes. But as her gaze slid back to the Master, and even as her heart swelled with pity for him, Molly couldn't help but feel a bit vindicated that she - a lowly human - had managed to one-up the guy.

The Master might not have been too wholly aware of his surroundings without orders to follow, but he did realize when someone else joined the area, his gaze sweeping up and over the other female form with a hint of confusion before turning his attention back to Molly with a bit of pleading in his tone, "Master. Give me purpose." The second he was back in himself, he would regret those words, any words that he had spoken in this state, because he had placed the responsibility for himself in the hands of another. He had never considered what it was like for those that he controlled, had never really cared, and while it wasn't likely to change his actions to know know what it felt like, it would certainly make him a bit more cautious when attempting to hypnotize someone now.

He'd hate to have to end up a whimpering slave again. He'd have to figure out a less direct method of doing so, so way that would give him the same results without putting his own mind at risk.

Lulling his gaze back over to the other female present, not aware enough in his mind to recognize her as the Doctor even though he had seen him in this way earlier, the Master's expression hardened as he tensed and slowly pushed himself back closer to the TARDIS wall to try and get away from this stranger. Not until he had his order. Not until he knew whether this was a friend or foe.

The Doctor gave Molly a brilliant smile at her words. Most people wouldn't have felt at all guilty for what had happened, seeing as the Master had been the one trying to attack her and his own actions had backfired, but that was what he liked about Molly. She was a genuinely good person who didn't like to see people in pain even if it was their own doing. She was a brilliant example of what humanity ought to be, the best that they ought to be, and he couldn't help but wish that more people could be like her. As much as part of him wanted to keep her safe from the Master, he was glad that she wanted to stay. Besides, he was quite curious to see what she would do once the Master was back to himself.

"If that's what you want, then feel free to stay," he said. "You have every right to be here when he realises that his...well...frankly ridiculous plan was foiled by a human. No offence, of course. I know you're brilliant. But he has opinions about humans. And they aren't very nice ones. Anyway...it's nice to have someone else here." He didn't want to admit it, but he didn't really like the idea of being alone in enemy territory, even if that wasn't normally what he would consider this any more.

"Hush," he said, turning his attention to the Master. It was a bit sad, seeing him like this. The Master had always been so clever, one of the only people who was a real match for him, and seeing him so blank and empty and dull was just a bit tragic. He wanted to fix it, even if it was perhaps safer to have the Master this way for the moment. Even knowing, logically, that the other Time Lord was a threat, he couldn't bring himself to leave him like that. Luckily, it was something of an easy fix. Sighing, he stepped over to the Master and brought his hands up to the sides of his face, closing his eyes as he did so and concentrating.

It was a bit like jump-starting a car, or so he assumed since he'd never actually done that. But he'd seen people do so and it seemed similar enough. He focused on connecting his own mind to the Master's, using it to give the other man's brain something of a hard reboot. There were probably other ways to go about it, but this seemed the simplest and safest. Pulling away after a long moment, the Doctor just gave the Master a look. "You know," he said sternly, "if you really wanted to see me so badly, you could have invited me over for tea. You certainly didn't have to resort to involving my friends in frankly idiotic schemes."

The Master wasn't comfortable in the sudden, close proximity of this stranger, but as he felt the familiar mind touch his own, the sudden jolt sending a shockwave through him and clearing away the fog that had settled over his mind. Had it not been the Doctor, the Master would have responded violently, lashing out mentally, but the confusion that he was filtering out of kept him from doing so until the mind was already out of his reach. "Come now, my dear Doctor," The Master drawled, raising a hand to run over the front of his face. "Would you really expect any less from me? When have I ever just asked nicely?" He asked, glancing up at the oddly female face in front of him with a bit of a smirk. "And if I may say, you look lovely, a bit mousey, but that's not horribly surprising."

Stretching and pushing himself up against the wall, the Master was able to get to his feet, turning his attention slowly to Molly before shifting his gaze around the TARDIS, "How long was I out?" He asked, turning his attention slowly to the Doctor. "How did you get here so fast?"

It took a long moment for it to click in the Master's mind because it seemed so impossible, so outlandish, but as he glance between the two people here with him, he slowly pushed past them and over to the console to check and make sure he wasn't just imagining it. "We've moved. How have we moved?" He asked, sounding absolutely baffled and annoyed. "What did you do?" The question was asked, pointedly, a sharp glare at the human girl that he'd taken with him. Humans weren't supposed to be able to fly TARDISes. And even if she managed it by some goof, it was impossible to tell how much damage she could have done.

Molly felt relief wash over her as the Master seemed to slowly return to normal. Of course, that relief quickly turned to irritation as she all too quickly remembered that normal for the Master also tended to equal egotistical and downright obnoxious. It wasn't that she expected to be thanked, or anything equally ridiculous, but to have him suddenly get angry at her when all she had done was help him as quickly as possible made her bristle slightly. Fortunately, Molly was rather good at hiding her annoyance when the situation warranted it, so it was with a surprisingly even tone that she answered him.

"I flew your TARDIS to the Doctor and parked beside him," she stated. "Then I contacted the Doctor and asked him to come over and help you." As she spoke, she'd stepped a bit closer with each word so that, by the time she'd stopped explaining, she was standing well within reaching distance. Finally, she unfolded her arms and did something that she very, very rarely did.

She slapped him across the face.

"That," she stated flatly, "is for trying to hypnotize me. And if you accuse me of having done anything bad to your TARDIS, I'm going to slap you again on the sheer principle of the matter."

That said, she then glanced to the Doctor and smiled. "Thank you," she said sincerely. "I really do appreciate the assistance, Doctor."

The Master was flirting. He was honestly flirting. The Doctor frowned, giving him another look. "Stop that!" he said indignantly, glaring at the other Time Lord. "It's not funny. It's not at all funny!" Why on Earth, and several other places, did he bother putting up with the Master? He was frustrating and infuriating and not nearly as clever as he seemed to think he was. He really wished he could just follow Molly's lead and smack him, but he was rather certain that wouldn't go over especially well. Still, he wanted to, what with how he was being and the way he was acting toward Molly. She was his friend and, moreover, she had just helped the Master. The least the man could do was show a bit of gratitude. Honestly. It wasn't that hard.

"She flew the TARDIS," the Doctor said with a roll of his eyes, "like I showed her. Then she sent me a message to meet her. And, considering where she brought Lo, she had to have looked for me...which is not pleasant for her. So maybe you could stop being such a prat and thank her. That's really all that needs to come out of your mouth, I think. Thank you. And maybe an apology for going and kidnapping her and trying to mind control her and...really, Master...that was your plan? Kidnapping and mind-control and...when has that ever actually worked? I'll tell you when. Never. It never works. I swear...it's like...it's like you're a child sometimes." He was very frustrated right then, but he spared a glance at Molly. "You're quite welcome, Molly," he said calmly, with a small fond smile. "Any time...well, not any time, because that makes it sound like you're going to make a habit of this, and I sincerely hope you don't. But you know what I mean."

It was always the women who saw fit to lash out at him. The only thing that he could be thankful for was that this wasn't lethal. He wasn't sure what he would have done without another body ready and able to take over if she had decided to kill him. Anger boiling in his system at the slap, though, the Master had been ready to strike her back before a sudden flare of electricity from the console stilled his hand. In the Doctor's TARDIS, the Master might have otherwise dismissed it as faulty wiring or something else prompted by his friend's inability to repair his TARDIS properly, but in his own, there was absolutely no denying that Lo was upset with him. And while she did tend to get upset with him often enough, it took something rather major to set her off like that, and there was no denying in his mind that while he might not understand why fully, Molly was now completely off limits to him. He wouldn't want to upset his girl anymore than he already had.

Frowning and quietly rubbing the burn that the electricity had lashed over his hand, he glanced between the two people present, listening to the Doctor's words but not really taking them in. Apologize? Yeah, right. Like that was ever going to happen. His apologies amounted to not killing people after they irritated him, and that would be just as much as Molly would get from him.

"Compared to you, old man, I am," The Master said with a hint of amusement in his features as he glanced over at the Doctor. "Or, should I say old maid? It's so hard to tell with you all gussied up like this," He said before sparing a glance at Molly as he rubbed his hand again. "And I suppose if Lo was willing to let you pilot her, I shouldn't be too angry that you did so. As long as you didn't crash," He said with a quirk of an eyebrow before turning back to the Doctor. "Teaching humans to fly the TARDIS? Really? This is what you do now?"

Although Molly was just a human, she was unquestionably an intelligent one and, furthermore, had seen enough of Doctor Who in her lifetime to recognize the shock the Master had been given for what it was. With a small, grateful smile meant for his TARDIS, she arched an eyebrow in his direction when he finally, grudgingly, admitted that being furious with her wasn't in his best interest and didn't make much sense.

"Of course she was willing," she replied evenly, as though it were terribly obvious as to the reason why. For her, it was. "I was trying to help you, after all." Then she looked to the Doctor. "And while I appreciate your attempts to get him to apologize, we both know that isn't going to happen, Doctor. But thank you for trying, just the same."

Moving to where she'd discarded her PDA earlier, she picked it up then looked back to both of the Time Lords. "Now, if you'll both excuse me, I..." She paused. "Well, I don't actually have anywhere I need to be, but I don't want to be here anymore than I have to." And with that being said, she turned and made her way toward the exit, smiling fondly as the door swung open for her.

All-in-all, she decided, as far as kidnappings went, that one hadn't been too bad.

The Doctor couldn't help but grin when Lo berated the Master by way of electrical shock. It was just like Molly to endear herself to the Master's TARDIS in the short time it took them to travel to meet with his own. She really was an extraordinary example of humanity, and he kept finding himself more and more impressed as time went on. It was nice, to find a human who never really disappointed him. For all that he adored humanity, they did have such a bad habit of not living up to what they could be. He never had to worry about that with Molly though. It was refreshing.

"I know he won't," the Doctor said, "but he really ought to and I'll probably keep trying even if it is a bit futile." When Molly indicated her desire to leave, he nodded. "Yes, of course. Go ahead. I'm sure your friends are worried. But we should really do something soon. Just the two of us. Once things settle down a bit. An adventure...but a mostly tame one. With...running, but not an overabundance of danger. Yes...that sounds good."

He watched her go, then glanced at the Master. "Right then," he said. "I'm not going to sit about and let you make fun of me. And of course I taught Molly about flying the TARDIS. She's really very clever." He moved toward the door himself, headed back to his own TARDIS. "Next time, Master, just invite me over for tea. The kidnapping and theatrics are really just embarrassing at this point."
