Entry tags:molly suresh, the doctor (11), the master

WHO: The Master & Molly Suresh
WHAT: The Master thinks Molly will be useful for information and thus, goes to get some.
WHEN: May 3rd; Afternoon
WHERE: The Student Activity Centre
RATING: PG
STATUS: In Progress

It really was the best situation the Master thought that he could hope for in a place like this. Cut off from the sort of resources that he tended to have, without the ability to lay a trap or disguise himself in some way that the Doctor wouldn't immediately recognize him, the next best thing really was getting his hands on one of the Doctor's companions just to insert his superiority over his old friend. There was also a lot of potential information that this young woman could provide him with if she was honestly incapable of not being honest. If this television show really did show everything that the Doctor did, that he had done, the Master could use her knowledge to get one step ahead of his old friend, to figure out how the Doctor would foil one of his next plots, and correct the issues so that it wasn't so easily undone. He'd have to go back to his own time soon enough, after all, and then, then, he would have the advantage.

Heading to where this Molly had told him that she would be, the Master closed the distance between the two of them with a playful smile, "And this is much better. There's something to a face to face conversation that just isn't there in communication via any type of device," He said, climbing the stairs slowly with a devious glint in his eye. "Particularly in the ability to ask questions without the delay in between them. So, tell me, my dear. Just what weaknesses of the Doctor can I exploit?" He asked with a bit of a chuckle. "Other than his friend, of course. I've known that one for awhile."

It was always the women who saw fit to lash out at him. The only thing that he could be thankful for was that this wasn't lethal. He wasn't sure what he would have done without another body ready and able to take over if she had decided to kill him. Anger boiling in his system at the slap, though, the Master had been ready to strike her back before a sudden flare of electricity from the console stilled his hand. In the Doctor's TARDIS, the Master might have otherwise dismissed it as faulty wiring or something else prompted by his friend's inability to repair his TARDIS properly, but in his own, there was absolutely no denying that Lo was upset with him. And while she did tend to get upset with him often enough, it took something rather major to set her off like that, and there was no denying in his mind that while he might not understand why fully, Molly was now completely off limits to him. He wouldn't want to upset his girl anymore than he already had.

Frowning and quietly rubbing the burn that the electricity had lashed over his hand, he glanced between the two people present, listening to the Doctor's words but not really taking them in. Apologize? Yeah, right. Like that was ever going to happen. His apologies amounted to not killing people after they irritated him, and that would be just as much as Molly would get from him.

"Compared to you, old man, I am," The Master said with a hint of amusement in his features as he glanced over at the Doctor. "Or, should I say old maid? It's so hard to tell with you all gussied up like this," He said before sparing a glance at Molly as he rubbed his hand again. "And I suppose if Lo was willing to let you pilot her, I shouldn't be too angry that you did so. As long as you didn't crash," He said with a quirk of an eyebrow before turning back to the Doctor. "Teaching humans to fly the TARDIS? Really? This is what you do now?"

Although Molly was just a human, she was unquestionably an intelligent one and, furthermore, had seen enough of Doctor Who in her lifetime to recognize the shock the Master had been given for what it was. With a small, grateful smile meant for his TARDIS, she arched an eyebrow in his direction when he finally, grudgingly, admitted that being furious with her wasn't in his best interest and didn't make much sense.

"Of course she was willing," she replied evenly, as though it were terribly obvious as to the reason why. For her, it was. "I was trying to help you, after all." Then she looked to the Doctor. "And while I appreciate your attempts to get him to apologize, we both know that isn't going to happen, Doctor. But thank you for trying, just the same."

Moving to where she'd discarded her PDA earlier, she picked it up then looked back to both of the Time Lords. "Now, if you'll both excuse me, I..." She paused. "Well, I don't actually have anywhere I need to be, but I don't want to be here anymore than I have to." And with that being said, she turned and made her way toward the exit, smiling fondly as the door swung open for her.

All-in-all, she decided, as far as kidnappings went, that one hadn't been too bad.

The Doctor couldn't help but grin when Lo berated the Master by way of electrical shock. It was just like Molly to endear herself to the Master's TARDIS in the short time it took them to travel to meet with his own. She really was an extraordinary example of humanity, and he kept finding himself more and more impressed as time went on. It was nice, to find a human who never really disappointed him. For all that he adored humanity, they did have such a bad habit of not living up to what they could be. He never had to worry about that with Molly though. It was refreshing.

"I know he won't," the Doctor said, "but he really ought to and I'll probably keep trying even if it is a bit futile." When Molly indicated her desire to leave, he nodded. "Yes, of course. Go ahead. I'm sure your friends are worried. But we should really do something soon. Just the two of us. Once things settle down a bit. An adventure...but a mostly tame one. With...running, but not an overabundance of danger. Yes...that sounds good."

He watched her go, then glanced at the Master. "Right then," he said. "I'm not going to sit about and let you make fun of me. And of course I taught Molly about flying the TARDIS. She's really very clever." He moved toward the door himself, headed back to his own TARDIS. "Next time, Master, just invite me over for tea. The kidnapping and theatrics are really just embarrassing at this point."
