COLLIGOWEEN '09 ➠ FUTURE-DATED TO THE 31st.

HALLOWEEN COSTUME BALL
The convention center was alive with activity tonight. The locals acted as if an event such as this happened every Halloween, prattling on in their corners and within their groups about the previous year's happenings, from costume winners to drama queens who had made near-scandalous scenes. There was punch and cookies, cakes and candies, and even a bar at the back that served alcoholic beverages to those of age. Within the convention center, all seemed right. Safe. Enjoyable.

But, down below...

Unknown to the residents of Colligo, one Ethan Rayne was currently hard at work in the basement of the building, setting up a spell he knew by heart. It hadn't gone according to plan last time he cast it, but he was confident it would go his way this time -- especially when his way was also The Collector's way.

He glanced impatiently at the clock. 7PM. The Collector said 11PM. In four hours, all hell would break lose in a symphony of chaos.

"Cinderella's leaving the ball a little early this year..."

MOD NOTE: This is the kick off to the ball! Sub-threads can be found within for your use. However, keep in mind that no one knows what Ethan is up to or that he's even in the city. Future-dated to allow people time to get threads going.

THE COSTUME SPELL IS NOT IN EFFECT YET. This is being done in order to give members time to game within the party prior to the spell being cast. When the spell is cast, a new sub-thread will be posted and members will be notified via the OOC comm. SPELL ACTIVATED!

Priestly had been a couple hours behind when it came to getting to the party. He had been waiting on Claire, but after getting a message from her saying that she would be running late, he decided to go ahead and head out and they would just meet each other there.

For the party he had washed the funky colors out of his hair, taken out his piercings, and covered up his makeup with some sort of concealer his girlfriend had gotten for him. Top that off with a plain tee-shirt borrowed from Dean and a dark blue jumpsuit a la mechanics and miners and he hardly looked like himself. Plus, the gas mask currently resting on top of his head and the pick axe in his hand didn't really scream Priestly! either.

His eyes wandered around, checking to see if any of the people he had at least somewhat made friends with were there.

It'd been a spur of the moment thing deciding to dress up as who she was currently dressed up as. She'd been thinking of dressing up as someone from the Batman-verse because the idea was sort of funny to her. However, that'd been before she found out that there was a T.V. show that she was in. That she really was one of those fictional people. Completely. Not half. Or partially. But completely. It was insane! Not that she wouldn't get used to it, but that meant she really was based off some broody moron with a rodent fetish. And that was depressive.

Which was what had ended up with her going as this Harley Quinn chick. She had to admit she liked the costume, red and black combo always appealed to her. And while the head piece was ridiculous (she had it in her hand, and she was wearing pigtails). It was a rather sexy costume, which was always fun to let loose with ... especially in this city; she'd even gone with the face paint. But definitely sans the gun.

She was walking around, looking around at the place. And actually surprised that she was looking forward to enjoying herself for the night.
