Julie here with her replacement second, at last! This is Magister Drusilla Branas, cold-hearted blood mage of the Tevinter Imperium, 30yo sister to Godric ~~Branas~~ Tagaris, and a real piece of work.

She's bright and charming and chatty on the surface, but deeply manipulative and opportunistic beneath; luckily(?), her worst sides will be reserved for the Tagarises and those connected to them. But to most others, she'll seem like a cunning politician but at least not, yanno, the actual spawn of the devil. She's also a bit of an academic nerd, and can lose herself in magical theory/practice for hours. She's arriving with her Laetan bff Tatiana to join the Tevene delegation, carting along an ancient magical artefact that they've been researching for the past couple years and which might come in handy for Reasons...

Cas: Legit, I would so love the dramatic irony of sweet good puppy Caspian getting along with Drusilla because he thinks the best of people and therefore doesn't see the viper beneath?? And yessss re: the priorities lining up -- the sort of alliance that comes about through extenuating circumstances, and their lining up on the same 'side' so that Good™ and Evil™ can, somehow, weirdly coexist >__>

Noëlle: We'll totally need to toss these two together at some dumb party, since they're both opportunistic women who work the angles for their own benefit, but... turned on its head and both so very different. idk I feel like it'd be a bit like Drusilla seeing herself through a glass darkly AND I WANT IT?

Noe: YES GOOD I WANT THIS TOO. They are very very similar but like.... their sociopathy has taken them completely different routes so ~similar but different~ and very interesting. There's a Big Party next month so we can do that orrrrrrrrrrrrrrr any small shindig they both wind up at really?

Lev: You're making my dreams come true over here. I've been writing bitty!Lev recently anyhow (to go up end of month) sooooooooooo I am down 4 dis. He really loathed her, you have no idea how disappointed he was she didn't die along with daddy, ugh. ~~But if they ever cross weapons please let's just fuck both of them up terribly tyvmia~~

	yesssssss to all this TBH SO PLEASED TO FINALLY HAVE A WAY TO INTERACT WITH ALIA, because Drusilla will definitely want to know her. Plus all of her interest will be piqued when she hears how everyone else in line for the throne has conveniently died. (Her immediate thought: "Are you sure you didn't engineer their deaths somehow? Listen, one of the things I've wanted to happen in Sorin in game since I brought him in (and I never told this to anyone because I thought people would just roll their eyes at me ;;;;;;;) is for him to personally be a target for someone from Tevinter for whatever reason, and this is the juiciest possible way. :3333333333333333

AND YESSSSSSS though Alia :| at the thought that she orchestrated the deaths of her father and cousin. Especially her cousin. Not cool, yo. But omg, these ladies interacting with each other, do want!!!!! She needs more nobles to interact with as her stress levels continue to do what they do XDDDDDDDD

bastien: this could be interesting if they get along and then he does find out -- since i think he'd be the most-invested of all the wardens/the most likely to turn against her for it? and that could spark a "SHE'S THE WORST >:O" "BUT SHE'S HELPING US" conflict, maybe the order entreating him to prioritise the blight over personal issues, idk. THIS IS ME SPITBALLING AND GETTING WAY 2 FAR AHEAD OF MYSELF THOUGH, but basically i do want that personal vs. impersonal warden divide to come up with SOMEONE later in game >__>

Omg I'm legit so excited to throw her against Iveani, because yeah, a) Drusilla's social machinations probably wouldn't work at allll, and b) she dislikes and sneers at elves!!!, but c) Iveani's particular magic is just so, so interesting so she'd still want to talk to her and find out more. 8| A log w/ them crossing paths at the Circle and Dru having already heard about Iveani's ~intriguing traits~, maybe?

And YES. Maybe Ivey could contribute towards a breakthrough with the research, a little ways down the road...

I didn't expect to love her dynamic with an NPC so much and so quickly, and yet I do.

+ you know that all of this means I definitely want her to interact with BOTH Oz and Shae next month, rite? She can be completely thrown by Oz's flirtations and it might be hilarious omg (he's so tiny! and hairy! and loud!!!). And then she and Shae can level death-glares at each other. 8)

oh god she and the lil' duke probably run into each other around the palace too

	Drusilla, as a character, touches on issues that are extremely uncomfortable and sometimes triggering for me. For that reason, I don't want to have any plot/connections with her (for my mental health). Oh absolutely! I'm limiting her nastiness to the players who have explicitly opted in/requested it, but I also understand needing to limit exposure to the character as a whole, considering her & Godric's history is definitely emotionally abusive and could hit on some personal points. I'll steer clear with her, your comfort takes priority. ♥

(In the meantime, then, we should log some more of Cassidy with yours! I'm sorry I dropped the ball on Takwana again -- alienage stuff totally consumed me this month -- but I can still get you that starter this week if you're down? And then Souvelani/Noelle/Cassidy will definitely have to happen in February 8) lol is she going to be one of the only people who tells him he did the right thing by standing up for the elves?)
