Hi! I'm Amy and I have two concepts in the works (one slightly more completed than the other, as I only had the second one strike me...very early this morning during a bout of insomnia).

First, in progress at this journal, Knight Corporal Sylvaine Severin of the Cumberland Circle's Templars. She's a two-handed sworder, and she helps with training Templar recruits/initiates in two-handed weapon combat. She's 6'4" and doesn't talk much (the mages and other Templars sometimes call her "Sylvaine the Silent" or "Ser Silence" when she's not around). She has a pronounced stutter, so a of the time she just writes people notes because it's faster and less embarrassing. The stutter is much less of a problem if she's talking weapons, armor, or tactics, or reciting verses from the Chant of Light (her favorite parts include the Canticle of Benedictions and "Andraste's Prayer before the siege of Minrathous" from the Canticle of Transfiguration). She's an Orlesian-born orphan raised in Nevarra by the Chantry. She's very devoted to the Chantry and the Templar Order, and strives to be fair, just, patient, and courteous in her dealings both mages and her fellow Templars. Basically she is a giant, awkward teddy-bear who could kill you.

Second, Aeren (no lastname yet), a cranky city elf rogue who'll be at this journal. Her concept: "Scrappy lurk-y runaway, taken in and trained by a (semi)retired Carta assassin, who wanders through alienages learning which shems need to die; shems say 'serial killer,' she says 'avenger.'" She's dual-wielding, Assassin, and generally very stabbitty. She ran away from her home alienage in I-am-still-deciding-where as a young teen, nearly got herself killed trying to kill some slavers, and got saved by a gruff-but-generally-good-hearted "retired" Carta assassin who thought she had some promise. So he took her in and trained her. She's now been slipping around Thedas from city to city, alienage to alienage basically playing a much more murdery sort of Batman/Robin Hood for city elves.

I'm Maaya, one of the game mods, and can I just say I LOVE Sylvaine's concept????? Absolutely flawless, can't wait to see the app! For her, I can offer Caspian (

unfavored), who was a Circle mage until about 6 years ago. He was a weirdo mage who did random physical activity with the templars as a teen sooooo they may have crossed paths. He tried to be nice to everyone. He started off a rebellious kid, warped into a hardworking teen, then got involved with bad life choices at 21, raised a zombie, got blacklisted by the mortalitasi, wound up joining the Wardens a year later. She's 8 hears his senior so she definitely would know and remember him. They could have gotten along (he'd be okay with companionable quiet) or she can think he's a massive failure (plenty of people do whoops).

Aeren is fascinating and we maaaaaaay be able to use her in plot potentially if that's something you wanted~ In any case, for her, the best fit is prooooooobably Noe (this journal). Also a dual-weild rogue, she moves in human noble circles but is actually part elf (shhhhh she doesn't know it yet). She makes contacts all over the city though, as she knows information flows from everywhere. She's not a jerk to elves at least partially because of this. Nooooooooot sure how we could connect them but I am open to ideas!

:D Yay! Hi Maaya! I think they'd have gotten along...and then he did a Really Stupid Thing :| Her reaction would have been more along the lines of "look at your life, look at your choices" than necessarily seeing him as a failure. She's basically of the opinion that the dead are best left that way.

Oooh. Totally open to having Aeren fit into plot in some way! Noe could certainly run into Aeren lurking about. Aeren would be a little wary, as she's not much of a fan of shems in general, but she could grudgingly accept her, I think.

He apologized. A LOT. And arguably he's made good as he joined the Wardens and is doing the Wardening thing with at least some appearance of competence (okay hear he hates it but he'd never say so). So when he comes back around the Circle for whatever reasons, he'll say hello, and he'll engage with her on the network too!

We'll see what works once the app is in. I AM ALWAYS LOOKING FOR WAYS TO DRIVE THE PLOT USING PCS. Just so much more satisfying than NPCs in my opinion...........

In any case, if she knows things, Noe may try to recruit her as an informant of some sort. She pays well!!! (She's going to have such a crisis when she discovers her heritage, it's gonna be gr8).

	She will be glad to see that he's making something of himself! Awesome! And yes, much more fun. Pay is good! (Aeren generally gets by on stealing, or taking things from people she kills, but that she has to spread out a little more). And yep, that's gonna be a doozy. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Hello~

Right now I only have the one character who I might be able to give to Aeren: Midha (this journal), an ex-Carta dwarf who is now a Grey Warden. She might have known Aeren's "retired" Carta mentor? Especially since she was trained as an assassin when she was in the Carta (she's taken up the art of the duelist since leaving the Carta though) and her mother was one, too. I don't know how we could work that into a line with Aeren precisely yet, but that's something we can work out together~ ^_^

In a few days I'll be tossing my second character at this post for more open plotting, BUT I am bringing in a super cheerful amputee warrior City Elf come July who could be a fun person to play against Aeren as well. He doesn't hate humans (his best friend and mentor is actually a human) but he's also not blind to the racism because, well, when you grow up in an Alienage and work on the docks, how can you be??? Especially when 50% of the reason he's an amputee is due to institutionalized racism, whomp whomp. So that could be a potentially fun line for us to explore, too!

I wish I had something for Sylvaine, she's amazing. ;_; But if you have anything, I'm definitely open to her because DO WANT!!!!!!!!
