Hello everyone, Sil here with all three apps in...

Pilar Pentaghast | [info]deathward | Human Noble | Mage (Necromancer - Mortalitasi): Born to one of the many Pentaghast lines, Pilar was just old enough to remember the first Annulment, which took place in Nevarra. It cleared the way for her advancement in the Mortalitasi, but she has never forgotten that lesson: what mages shouldn’t do and what can be done to them. As keen a political player as she is, continuing to advance within the Circle, Mortalitasi, and Court, even her most selfish moves are done for the sake of king and country. She keeps close ties with many Circle Mages both in Cumberland and Nevarra City, as well as lower born members of their populace. She’s reached the age she’s starting to have outlived her enemies, and she is cautiously concerned about the Blight. Mostly, she has taken notice of how rarely the dead are properly treated. Finds a sacrificial play on her part unlikely to be the best move but willing to do so should it ever be necessary. She’s never left Nevarra.
LINES: Fellow mages, younger mages & previous apprentices, lovers and past lovers (gender/race not picky, within 15 years her age (36+)), political enemies (domestically or new ones from Tevinter and Orlais), people she’s helped previously, people she’ll help now. Further, she volunteers to bury any and all of you who die.
Asmund Astyth | [info]intentioned | Dwarf Exile | Warrior (two handed weapon - champion): Orzammar born dwarf to a warrior family, of the house of Astyth (found of the Silent Sisters). His whole childhood was focused on fighting, with the eventual enemy in mind being the darkspawn. As such, he spent much time in the Proving Grounds, fighting alone and with others. He felt no shame in being defeated but would continue to improve. As per Dwarven politics, he fought in the normal legions as his family arranged a marriage for him. However, all those well placed plans came to an end when he took the noble but losing side in a dispute between houses. He surrendered to save the life of his best friend only to be knocked unconscious and left on the surface with nothing to his name. He has since made a way for himself as a mercenary and has fought in conflicts all over the continent, for any man or woman he deemed honorable and working on an honorable purpose. But his most hated enemy is the darkspawn, and so he has spent more and more time in Nevarra, finding one excuse or another to fight darkspawn. He enjoys eating, drinking, flirting, fighting. Being noble makes how much he enjoys fighting a-okay.
LINES: Friends, people he has fought for, people he has fought side by side with, Wardens who may recruit him (he is at High Risk for joining the Wardens, closest thing he can get to the Legion of the Dead), complicated history with anyone else from Orzammar, lovers (race, gender, age, not a large concern for him).
Sabrina Esposito | [info]somniari | Human | Mage (Circle - Blood Magic/Dreamer): Born to a circle in Nevarra to two mage parents, who grew up in the Chantry nonetheless until she showed signs of magic. Then she was packed off to Tevinter where she studied at the best universities. Once she showed signs of being a dreamer, she became the favored pupil for one Magister, but when she was forced to overhear his honest opinion of her, she helped another magister topple him. However, she then moved to train with a different magister and has tried to learn the game and her gifts. Coming to Nevarra on this trip took some negotiations and providing leverage over herself, but she had to come… Why exactly she cannot say: to find her parents, yes, but to no particular end; to help Tevinter bring Nevarra to its knees or perhaps make the country burn for what it did to her; to advance herself within Tevinter politics and to form her own identity. Just recently, she passed her harrowing, but demons have a seductive call.
LINES: her father, her current magister mentor, previous crushes and new ones, people to influence her one way or the other (to burn the world, to topple Nevarra, to free mages, pick your own agenda)

WE'VE TALKED BUT

Pilar: So her former protege, Caspian, is totally a Grey Warden with Midha now. I have NO CLUE how we can work that in, buuuuuuuut idk it's something??????

Asmund: Well, we've discussed a bit with our dwarves~ Asmund probably knows about the exile of Karok Aenoch, Midha's grandfather, when he accidentally killed a nobleman and ran away before any sort of sentencing could happen. Honestly, you can make up whatever rumors about what Asmund might have heard if you want~ as for Asmund and Midha, maybe they'd had run-ins in Tantervale or Kirkwall or Starkhaven, depending on timelines and what not -- all else fails, she can also be seen eating, drinking, flirting, and fighting. WE CAN FIGURE THINGS OUT. Also, she wouldn't recruit/conscript him into the Wardens because 1) she's probably one of the most junior Grey Wardens in the game so far and 2) even if she could, she wouldn't, because she really dislikes being a Warden. XDDDDD SO MANY OPTIONS TO CHOOSE FROM, WE SHOULD TALK SOMETIME.

I imagine Pilar knows Caspian is a Grey Warden bc there aren't THAT many exits from the Circle system, and he took the only one. But he's still a Pentaghast, so she can keep tabs on him? Also, she does work with lots of everyday people in the city, so she's around to run in with people or get pulled into plots.

Daaaaaaaang, Karok ran away?! HE MAY BE DEAD, BUT HE HAS SO LOST ASMUND'S GOOD OPINION. They can totally have had run ins. I feel like with mercs/former mercs, there's a lot of it's a small continent. XD Ooooh well if someone tries to recruit him, she could try to dissuade him? Not give away Warden sekrits, but you know, try to put him off. Which you know, may not be an easy task.

Yes to talking sometime :D

Works for me! Random chance run-ins are some of my favorite ways to throw characters together who wouldn't otherwise interact. XDDDD

Pretty much, yep. He wasn't actually exiled. He ran away before they could, well, anything because he killed a noble and he wasn't about to stick around for that fallout. XDDDDDD Honorable way out, absolutely not, lmao. And yesssssss, Midha would totally would be like "omg seriously there are so much better things you can be doing go do that" especially if they have some history. XDDD Not that she ever really does anything for the greater good but rather for her own survival (Chaotic Neutral, after all~); eventually, I'm hoping to have her come around to accepting her fate as a Grey Warden, but that's going to be a journey for her. XDDD

BUT YES I'll try to send you an email or something tomorrow!!

Part of the reason I made her likely to be out and about was to increase potential for interactions!

Asmund wasn't offish exiled... just dumped on the surface, and once on the surface, always on the surface. :/// Bad politics. Asmund is like, "Tell me about these things. Maybe I can do all these things and join the Grey Wardens." Her not great starting opinion of the Wardens may raise some parallels to him with her grandfather. Wrp wrp. But he's not going to cut someone out bc they're unhappy being in a place. She still is, clearly, in the place.

:D

Best way to do it tbh! ^_^

Orzammar politics suuuuucks, it's a truthfact. And oh man, Midha will headdesk because she can't spill the secrets (again, not out of honoring her oath to secrecy but because she's pretty sure she's going to wind up dead if she tells) but she has no idea how to avert Asmund's eagerness. XDDDD And yep, she and her grandfather have a little bit more in common than she's willing to acknowledge, but to her credit she also has a thing against blatantly running away because nobody likes to associate with cowards??? But yeah, even if she wanted to run away with the Wardens, she really can't + she really is better off staying where she is, lol.

♥♥♥

Yeeeep. Someone also has to be around to show the political who's who around. And mage or not, she is someone!

Srsly they do. Asmund knows the barest minimum about them, but even he will agree on that. Asmund points out headdesking is a lot more comfortable with sex involved, or at least, then you don't care as much if you hit your head. And hey, go you, Midha. But also like... the Wardens are like Legion of the Dead Light in his opinion, and he wanted to join THAT (so sad he can't, but hey with a Blight, the action's up on the surface, so TAKE THAT, ORZAMMAR POLITICS).

HI SORRY AM WRITING YOU THE EMAIL NOW~

LMAO, Midha will agree to that -- headdesking is almost not worth if it sex isn't involved~ ;D And oh man, Midha has no idea what the Legion of the Dead are but once she finds out she'll be like, I will seriously never understand Orzammar dwarves I cannot. XDDDD
