Just hidden by the mists; protected from the corruption of the outside world, until one day it all went wrong. A time traveler made his way into the city and somehow he managed to overthrow the current king of Camelot and take charge of the throne. Merlin knew that this was a dangerous thing, so he helped all the innocent people flee the city. He took them to Avalon and hid them from the Evil King. This new king had proved to be more than a match for Merlin and Merlin wound up going into hiding. Morrigan, however refused to stand down and she performed a spell that would change things in their world forever. She used the power of Excalibur to call forth a portal to bring back Arthur, but the spell went horribly wrong. Instead of bringing back Arthur it brought heroes from all different dimensions to their world. The new king had learned of her spell and he decided to have one of his own performed. He forced one the court magicians to open a portal as well; he wanted to bring together his own group of warriors from other worlds.
