Author's Notes: Thanks to velvet-mace for letting me pick up a dropped claim for FMA FuhQ and giving me a deadline extension on it. Future AU, no end of series/movie aspects/spoilers, and no spoilery manga details pertaining to Riza. I was working on a completely different fic when this bunny came along out of nowhere and ATTACKED ME. Now I dead from fic. Ow. Tissue warning past this point. Ow. I'm sorry, the other fic was hotter but kept stalling on me and this one isn't hot as much as sad and hurty.

Author's Notes: I don't write mangaverse Ed/Riza. I don't. That's galuxkitty's forte and the plotbunny that hopped onto my lap and demanded attention was from her hutch. ...but it was such a cute little bunny, a bunny that swore up and down (and lived up to its word for once!) that it was just a simple, harmless, fluffy PWP bunny and I couldn't ignore it. I think it was bred by the bunny which produced GK's Courage Bared to the Soul.

Author's Notes: AU animeverse, in the year 1924. There is a backstory to this but I'm not done with that fic yet and rather than risk spoiling anything for that fic by naming it or explaining anything... well... this does stand well enough alone on its own. I originally wrote most of this back in November of '06, and just now got around to adding the last few paragraphs and finishing it up. I forgot I had this fic, honestly.
