Notes: Set approximately a century after TRY. My muse hit me over the head with this little story with a Warner Bros. grand piano after I re-read a favorite old 'fic in another fandom, "The Last Temptation of Meggan Braddock" by Indigo. Her story provoked the initial 'What-If?' thought that all muses go rabid over, and just ran with it... in an entirely different direction.
Summary: Worried? No, Xellos told himself, he wasn't worried at all. He was Mazoku. He didn't worry over something so trivial. But what the hell was going on? Where was she? It was just so unlike the Filia he knew that he doubted this was her handiwork.

Summary: That's when he noticed Lina was looking at him. Not just merely looking at him, but looking at him with an expression she reserved for people who she perceived to be acting on a Fireball-worthy level of stupid.
