1) This fic takes place in June 2016, so we're looking at the future. I have no idea what sort of situation we'd be looking at over there at that time. I am not psychic. That, and Hydra being real in the Marvel world and not ours screws some things up, so not everything is 100% accurate and all of it is grossly oversimplified.
2) I am not trying to bash Israel, let's not even go there. I used Israel for a reason that has nothing to do with the ethnicity of most of the country. (There are others living there too, btw.)
3) That reason is stated in the fic. Read on and give me a chance to explain. It comes down to Hydra, to simplify it.
4) No, those are not the names of the real current president and Prime Minister of Israel. I don't use real politicians. They're as real as President Ellis.
5) Yes, the dark web exists. Yes, you can find those kind of offers out there. Please don't go looking, you will hate yourself forever.
