Teaser: The sides of the truss bridge offered a small amount of security from the gusting high winds, something to catch them if they were pushed to the side. The wet wood gave precious little traction, and the ties were too narrow to hold Lucion's paws and still offer him a place to dig in his talons. Every few feet he paused and looked over his shoulder to check the pack behind him. It was slow going, even with their powerful tails to help them balance, and by the time they were only halfway across, the highest waves whipped up by the wind and from the current splashing against the supports were hitting Lucion's paws.
