In the halls [open]

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
River is walking through the hallways, her hand trailing along one wall.

Walls. There were always walls between people. There were walls in River's head.

"Shouldn't be," she murmured.

There were strange things here. Things that shouldn't be here. She could feel them, fingertips on the other side of the wall, reaching for hers, wanting to talk.

"Don't touch."

She paled. There are too many dead people here. She clenched her hand at her throat.

"Don't be angry."

Ginny is sitting by the pool, feet in the water. She's reading a book, and trying to figure out where the heck muggles get their ideas about witchcraft. Crazy.

Her wand is in her lap, and there are knitting needles in the air next to her, working by themselves to knit what appears to be a long green tube out of a fine, soft cotton.

Entrance Post: Simon Tam

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Simon was in the medical room of Serenity looking at the puzzle River had left behind after she'd disappeared. He wondered is the alliance had gotten to her somehow, after everything he had done to make sure they never would.

He started to work on the puzzle for distraction and after a few moments he slotted the last piece into place. There was a blinding green light and he shunned his eyes. After a moment the light was gone and he removed his hands from his eyes. He was no longer in the medical room of Serenity. He was in what appeared to be a lobby.

"Huh," he said.

By the Lake [open to all]

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
River has her skirts tucked up and is wading along the shore of the lake. Tiny fishes come up to nibble at her feet and she looks at them, fascinated by them.

They were called 'minnows' on Earth-That-Was, she thought. They had such bright, smooth souls, like lines of light in her brain.

"Small souls. Small lives," she murmurs, watching their sleek silver bodies dart in the bright sunlight.

But there are many. River wishes Simon could see this place. She misses him.

"Swimming from the moment you're born. Don't learn, don't have to. It's all instinct."

There seem to be many people wandering about. But the climate is generous and pleasant. It makes sense.

"Let me see it," he holds his hand out to have a look at the puzzle.  It does look complicated.

She pulled her hand out of his reach, smirking at him. This was comfortable, this she knew. Teasing and playing, it's what they'd
always done. Even though him sitting so close made her very aware that they were alone.

"No, I got it," she said, still smirking, slotting the piece she had in her hand in and reaching for another.

She was taunting him now.

"Hey let me see," Lee made a grab for the nearly complete puzzle.

She laughed.

"See with your eyes not with your hands, Lee," she teased, as the piece slotted in. He made another lunge for it, leaning over her and
grabbing it.

She laughed and tackled him, trying to get it back. They tousled, laughing and trading insults, even running around the room, each getting a piece in every now and then, and soon there was only one piece left.

She leaned over, holding his arm still so she could slot it in place, determined to be the one to finish the puzzle.

"Aha!" she cried, triumphant, grinning at him as the piece clicked in.

But something was wrong. She looked up, and her brow furrowed, reaching for her sidearm instinctively, spinning around and looking at her new surroundings. Chairs. Carpets under her feet. Natural light...

They weren't on Galactica anymore.

"What the frak?" she breathed, looking over at Lee, completely freaked out.

OTA

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
River sat in the lobby in a corner. Her legs where pulled close to her stomach. She was rocking back and forth. Her face was an expression of fear and pain. There was too many feeling in this place. Too much anger and hurt. It hurt too much. She couldn't move. She felt what most of the others were feeling.
