You Are HERE

Lucas was setting the table for the dinner he and Layla would be having with Jack. Layla was in the kitchen area making dinner. He finished setting the table and walked into the kitchen area.

"Smells good," he said walking up behind her and kissing her neck. "Food smells good too," he said smiling.

Lucas was laying in bed. He was tossing and turning finding it hard to sleep. He missed Layla a lot and wasn't able to sleep as well without her next to him.

He sighed and gave it up as a lost cause. He got out to the bed and got a glass of water. He put on some clothes, grabbed his key and left the room.

He wandered down the hall, wondering if he should knock on Peyton's door. He decided against it since she would probably be asleep. He went downstairs and to the library. He picked up a copy of The lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the ring and walked to the bar.

He sat at a table and ordered a beer and started to read some of the book, taking an occasional sip of his beer.

Lucas had been feeling a lot better and was over the flu he had had.

He had been thinking a lot about what Layla had asked for and decided to go talk to Jack about it.

He walked to Jack's room and knocked on the door hoping Jack was in.

When: After Layla came back from rock climbing

Lucas had come back to their room to find the room empty. He figured Sam had taken Layla out rock climbing and decided it would be a perfect time to set up a surprise for her. He left the room and picked up a few things from the the bar and one of the restaurants. Then he came back and set up some things around the room. He pulled the bag out of the wardrobe and changed. Then he had to decide how to get the dress to her before she got back. He decided to enlist Ana's help on this. He went to her and asked her if she could look out for Layla on the way up, that he wanted to surprise her. To give her the dress and let her get changed in her room. He knew she'd be worried to have to go somewhere to change on her own. So he left the dress and shoes with Ana and a note for Layla. Then he went back to the room and made sure he had everything he needed ready.

Lucas stood at the bed in their room packing a few last things into his bag that he'd picked up from the boutique. He'd packed a few matches for a fire and some marshmallow and vegan chocolates for Layla and some other food, including a few things he'd picked up from the restaurant. 

He looked around making sure she wasn't looking and took out the engagement ring from where he'd been hiding it. He opened it and smiled. Then he closed it carefully trying to make sure it made no noise. He stuffed it into the pocket of one of hoddies he'd packed. He also packed some paper and a pen.  

"Ok think I'm done," he said turning to her with a big smile. "Really looking forward to this."
