Lucas was sitting by the lake. He was watching the gentle waves and just thinking. He had little Iggy with him.

He was thinking about Layla mostly. How much he loved her and how much he missed her. He knew she needed this, he understood. But he still missed her terrible. He wondered if she missed him. Iggy was running around chasing his tail and nudging Lucas's leg looking for attention. Lucas petted him and rubbed his tummy, smiling at the fox cub.

He lay on his back and closed his eyes, soaking up the warm rays of the sun. So many different thoughts running through his mind. Little Iggy jumped on his stomach, curled up and fell asleep, snoring loudly.

	"Yeah, I had this enormous guard dog on the wall right behind my bed. It was supposed to protect me after the attack. But it was really menacing. "At the beginning, terribly. He didn't want to meet me or speak to me. You see, my biological dad left him and his mom to follow Ellie so basically it wasbecause of us that he grew up without a father. He was forced to meet me when you two saved me from PsychoDerek and then you convinced him to see me again and give me a try. We ended up friends: he lived with me a few days while he was on leave and was also my escort at the banquet before I came Here. But he was leaving for Iraq the day after and I don't know when I'll see him again" she said. What she didn't say was 'If I'll see him again' but she thought it.

She nodded. "I wanted to have a brother so I wouldn't be all alone. Right after my mom died, when my father started leaving more and more often, I would have wanted someone to be there for me, some family, you know? Brooke was great but when her mother wasn't in a good mood she couldn't stay and sleep over, Mrs. Davis wouldn't let her. So I made up an older brother in my mind who would crawl into my bed and hold me tight" she said "It's stupid, I know"
