*Layla was in her room, most everything she had was in Luke's room now except for a few things. She had been moving all of her stuff to Lucas' room, they were going to call their families to make it official, but for now this was the unofficial move. She was moving some dried herbs and her plant over to Luke's room and then was going to do a cursory sweep of the area to make sure she had everything. She heard the boom. Her roof shook and then she noticed the veins in the ceiling begin to occur. She screamed loudly. In her head she screamed it too, all the plants heard her. 'Help Me!' She put her hands way over her head, to sheild her head from falling debris as a few pieces of rubble began to fall down. One landed on her shoulder and back. The other one fell on her left foot. So, she was pinned for a moment. Ready to move, she was going to try and push the rubble off when out of nowhere a rumbling sound from outside and a white light exploded. A tree branch slammed through her balcony wall. It extended to the size of the entire room, It pushed all the way in like a hand. The opposite wall was punctured by the branch, which now almost resembled fingers. Her door flew off the hinges and skidded into the hall way. Layla was pinned under this now, the rubble being pressed against her spine and foot. She couldn't move, but people could crawl underneath. There was one issue, the tree that decided to save her was dying. It's wood dead. It groaned and made snapping noises as rubble began to fall onto this makeshift netting. In the hall there were big branches hanging with leaves that looked dead, withered, decayed. Layla tried calling out for help and all she could do was wheeze.*
