So, this is the quaint little town my sister has decided to settle down in. It's cute enough for a wedding, though it's no Paris. What is there to do for fun around here?

That depends on what you consider fun.

Oh, hello I like to think I'm a pretty adventurous guy and can find fun just about anywhere.

Well, there is ice skating, there are some contests you can join or watch, there is a musical at the downtown theater, there's a Christmas Market, and lots of other things. I actually have a list that I can give to you if you want to drop by.

I'm not entirely sure how much of that I'm keen to do, but I suppose it's always better with company. Would you be interested in perhaps going to the Christmas Market with me? I'm Les, by the way.

I would love to join you. It's nice to meet you. I'm TK.

It's very nice to meet you, TK. What is it that you do for work?

What a coincidence that I'm here for a wedding. Perhaps you know my sister, [name]?

Oh, wow! I do know her. What a small world.

What kind of climate you got? I'm more of a cold weather guy myself. Which is pretty fucking ironic, considering.

Bit of snow, a nice chill in the air. How is it ironic?

Have you ever gone skiing? If there are any slopes around you should check it out.

I was born in Mexico. Not exactly a lot of snow in Guadalajara.

No, but I have spent plenty of time on holiday in the French Alps. Skiing and snowboarding are not exactly my cup of tea, per se. Too much risk to injury.

I dare say there isn't a lot of snow there. How did you end up so fond of cold weather?

Not if you have someone who knows what they're doing with you, but I'm a little far away to come over my expert advice. I'm guessing you're not much of a snowball fight guy, either?

I don't know, just kind of... found myself here and loved it. The way the air is so crisp when its cold, you know?

Playing in the snow does not really drum up fond memories, so it hasn't carried over into adulthood.

I prefer to stay inside by a fire with a whiskey and a good book, personally.

Yeah, I guess I'm living out the cold weather childhood I never got. My kid helps keep me young.

Oh yeah? Then I guess it sounds like you've got something to do for fun. Read anything good lately?

I suppose that's fair and makes enough sense, then.

Nothing terribly gripping. I was hoping for something new to do, however. Joke's on me for being picky.

Yeah, sorry man, I got no other suggestions for you. Between work and parenting I'm pretty busy, so unless you want to spend your leisure time doing a teenage girl's hair...

I can't fathom she would be terribly impressed with my hair styling skills or lack thereof.

Shoulda seen me when I first started. That poor kid went to school with fucked up hair more than once, when she was little.
