Usually, when I end up somewhere new, it doesn't come with a check, new tech and a place to live. Not complaining though, even if $5000 in California is barely enough to get a cup of coffee, I'll happily take it. Who knows, might use the check to hit the lotto and afford a burger or two. On second though, nah, my luck is crap.

$5000 used to be what I'd spend on one weekend in Dubai. It feels like a lot more these days. It definitely isn't much for the California cost of living but it will at least get your feet under you?

That's almost one semester of college, or it was back when I was going. What were you doing on that much for one weekend? Covering yourself in printer ink?

Does printer ink really cost that much? No wonder my dad hated when I'd print things off from the office.

Sports car rentals, spa treatments, my personal trainer alone cost about a grand a session... God I miss Phillipe. He was a total douche but my calves had never looked better.

I've been disgustingly rich, so poor I was sharing a motel room with my older brother, and somewhere in between. I definitely prefer the comfortable but not rich point. I think I'm a better person for it, too.
