Carnaval de la Lumière

A stack of small leather bound journals sits on a table at the head of the cook house tent. Each journal is embossed with the name of a carnival employee on the bottom left corner and accompanied by a fountain pen. A note in the front reads:

Write in me and all will see.

Although conditions are perfect for a lazy Sunday, with a gentle breeze blowing in a warm fall day, the denizens of the carnival do not have such luxury. And even less so today. Those not early to rise find themselves woken from their slumber, and if they don't find their way to the cook house to hear tell of the impending meeting, they find themselves compelled to check the noticeboard instead. The suggestion isn't an invasive one, it simply fits in with the other thoughts of the morning, and once numbers start increasing at those locations suggestion is hardly necessary at all...
