After a minute of stations reporting in around the ship, Jon picked up the hand set and nodded to the duty officer to patch him through. “Attention, all stations, this is Colonel Randell. I have command until Rear Admiral Burk returns. A war alert has been issued by FORCECOM. Our home worlds are currently under attack by Cylon forces. The Fleet is mobilizing as we speak to repel the attackers. Orders have been issued, and we have ours. We are ordered to jump immediately to a high angel’s position above the solar plain and hold.” Jon paused for a beat.
