Rupert couldn't believe how incredibly lucky he was. He had the most beautiful family in all of the world, even if he was a bit biased. When the nurse brought Andi back to them, he grinned and eagerly nodded his head when Fred asked if he wanted to hold her. Carefully, he took the tiny baby in his arms and looked down at her, tears stinging his eyes. "She's beautiful, Fred," he whispered before he pulled the pink blanket back and counted her fingers and toes.
"Middle name?" Charlie repeated before she looked up at Rupert and Andi. "Umm... how about Christine? That was my mum's name."
"That would be perfect, love," Rupert said with a smile.
"We're going to check Andi over now and move your wife to a private room, Mr. Giles. You and your other daughter will be able to stay with her tonight if you wish," the nurse explained before Rupert slipped his new daughter into her arms. "It should only take around ten minutes or so."
Rupert nodded and took Charlie's hand before leaning down to kiss Fred's forehead. They walked out of the delivery room and stopped at a vending machine to get Charlie a box of juice. Rupert then called Willow and told her the good news, saying they could visit in the morning. He wanted Fred to rest a little before everyone invaded them.
Soon the nurse came out and said they could go to Fred's room. The room was rather large and very private. Rupert knew his parents had had something to do with it since they'd told him a few weeks before that they were going to make sure Fred and the baby got the best possible care. He was grateful for their help because he knew he didn't want to be away from Fred or Andi or Charlie overnight. As Charlie went over to check out the other bed, Rupert sat on the edge of Fred's bed and smiled at Andi.
"How are you feeling, love?" he asked as he stroked Andi's little cheek.
