1 March; the wizarding world is still harboring suspicions about the last quiet Saturday they had when Regulus Black and Evan Rosier apparate into Knockturn on 'business.' With Garesse Gwythe out of the picture, they have negotiated with another dark wizard to procure the explosives they need for the next attack. Little do they know that it's all about to go terribly, terribly wrong.
I. The Beginning; inquiries and suspicions
Involved parties: Regulus, Evan, and Pepper
[12.30 pm] Regulus and Evan meet with their dealer behind the Banshee's Scream - the only pub in existence with a seedier reputation than the Hog's Head. It is a poor spot to negotiate in, however, for Octavius Pepper, one of the tidier residents of the Banshee's rooms, has taken up the habit of eavesdropping...
Your part to play:
Evan and Regulus should apparate in and begin negotiations with this dealer guy. He's shady. Like, really shady. And creepy. (Feel free to snag an NPC for the occasion);
Pepper should eventually roll out of bed and notice the tête-à-tête; at some point he will alert the ministry
II. The Pursuit; acquisition and the hunt
Involved parties: Regulus, Evan, and a motley assortment of aurors and hitwizards
[12.50 pm] Regulus and Evan make their purchase and then move to collect their new toys. Meanwhile, aurors and hitwizards arrive at the apparition site and cordon off the area in an attempt to prevent escape. Evan and Regulus receive warning from the undesireable natives of Knockturn (hey, we know where their loyalty lies), and attempt to move off with the goods. Knockturn may seem small, but when people don't want to be found, it's one of the best places to be.
Your part to play:
Regulus and Evan will make their purchase and get on the move - once they are alerted, they will begin making it very difficult to be found, though the difficulty of moving weapons and going undetected is working against them;
Aurors and hitwizards will work together to get the area secured and begin the hunt for the DEs;
[1.20 pm] After half an hour of playing chicken, Regulus and Evan make a fatal mistake (this will be up to their players); aurors and hitwizards close in and make their move.
Your part to play:
Regulus and Evan will make a mistake (up to you guys how to do this);
Aurors and hitwizards will close in and attack - avoid the massive bombs when stunning;
[1.30 pm] After a very brief spat with some epic injuries (hey, why not?) Evan and Regulus will be forced to retreat, leaving their munitions for the ministry to take. Victory for the ministry! (Finally)
Your part to play:
Regulus and Evan will be forced to make their decision - capture or retreat empty handed and risk splinching (we assume they will decide on the latter);
Aurors and hitwizards will celebrate their victory by confiscating the explosives and getting the heck out of dodge before the Knockturn natives decide to get fiesty;

FAQ:
Why are Evan and Reggie trying to get to the apparition spot at all? Diagon is so crowded and busy that apparating at other locations is dangerous; it's possible, but a person is far more likely to splinch at another location.
Why didn't Pepper get involved, that rascal! That is something your character should probably ask in character!
Where is the news article for this event? Rita will be reporting as soon as Rachel has internet again.
