Re: [1.00 pm]
Frank and Alice had dropped everything and ran--well, poofed, really--as soon as they'd gotten the call to arms. Granted, their particular call had come a bit later, given that they'd been doing reconnaissance in North Yorkshire when Pepper's alert had come in. If he'd had time to think about it, he'd have marveled at their ability to make it back to London at such a blistering pace--but of course, he hadn't had much time to think. Alice helped with that: in situations like this, it was as though their minds were linked, sans any verbal cues. They'd been notified, and, with a glance, they were gone. Red alerts took priority.
Serendipitously, they snapped into life at the opposite end of the alley from Bones and Savage, narrowly avoiding landing in a--what was it, exactly? A tub of eels? Right, no time for health code violations now, Frank; he made a mental note of the state of the place, and filed it away to dispatch some Hit Wizards for cleanup and ticket duty after this whole mess was sorted out. If it was sorted out. Christ, don't think like--
Alice moved forward on his left-hand side, a flash of yellow outside her cloak, and he was in the moment again. They swept forward in pulses, one at a time, each one covering the other in turns. It was too practiced for either of them to falter. He wasn't feeling too comfortable with the barriers at their backs; in a serious fight, they stood a chance of getting bottlenecked. Still, the report had said only two opponents, and they'd have to deal with what came as it came.
