My dog is lucky I love him. It's almost midnight and he's insisting that he MUST GO OUT NOW!!But the perk of not opening the shop until noon is I don't have to be in bed yet even if my old ass wants to be.

All that said: I don't have any appointments for tomorrow so anyone who has been thinking of getting some ink should come down and we can talk about it.

I have heard some very troubling things about a new drug, a psychedelic hallucinogen that's just started being distributed in the city.

Now, I'm not one to tell anyone how they should and shouldn't spend their time, but this one in particular is very, very dangerous. I've heard that there is a bad batch that's done some truly terrible psychological damage to everyone who's touched it.

Please, don't touch it. And please let anyone you love know not to touch it. I'm very concerned.

Someone took it upon themselves to drive their vehicle through my favorite coffee place and they might not reopen for a long time, if at all.

Well thats a crime if ever I saw one. So. Suggestions.. ?

I would be remiss if I didn't mention here that there is a summer concert series coming up. Local talent, big and small, every genre. Free to attend. Big block party vibe.

There will be food trucks and a lot of people to mingle with. It sounds like a nightmare.

Every Friday night through September over at Grant Park.

Don't you just have that thing at work that you just loathe to do? But it's a constant and just... is? I' love to hear some of those because I think I win. It's really just not a good shift if I don't have to clean up bodily fluids off of my person, clothes or gear.

So what are you most looking forward to for summer?

It's got to be beach runs, pickup soccer, and Millennium Park movies for me. Movies just hit different when they're outside and free and anyone can come.

Oh yeah, and snow cones.

you ever just sit back and think 'holy shit life is wild' cause i'm experiencing some turns i never thought would happen to me.

I missed the one that happened this year, but best believe in 2022 I'm going to the Easter Beer Hunt. Finally, something I can get behind for this holiday.

We'll call Easter a rousing success. I had planned to post a video of Salma opening her epic dinosaur themed basket but there's something wrong with my phone's camera.

Suffice to say, her mind was blown. She's currently alternating between excavating fossils, growing the foam dinosaurs, and the standard holiday child sugar rush along with my other daughter Aisha. They're running a candy trading scheme where they're trading me all their jelly beans for chocolate, not knowing this was my plan all along.

As the weather finally begins to warm, I can start gardening outside more. My herbs are fine indoors during the winter but they flourish more outside and if I intend to continue to make herbal medicines for... Certain replacements, I need as much as I can get.

I am aware that I say this every week but: I am so glad it's Friday, I need this weekend right now.

I just need to make the rounds at all of my places and then I'm off.

Just a thought for everyone this weekend: Easter used to be a fertility celebration. Let's remember the reason for the season, darlings.

The photoshoot went reasonably well, consideringtwo of the subjects weren't talking and one left halfway through to go see his mistress and love child that there was a bit of tension at times. That's an important aspect of the job, learning to work through these things.

There were baby chickens and small rabbits, and everything had the appropriate rustic-chic aesthetic.

I do find it somewhat irritating that so many places are closed and people not working on Sunday. I know that it's a holiday but the world doesn't have to stop turning just because some Christians stole a pagan holiday, does it?

First day of in four years and the weather is perfect to take this beauty out for a ride. Might even make a small trip out of it.

My heart goes out to our brave men and women in uniform. Heard on the morning news that a couple of pranksters broke into a local police station and stole all the lavatory equipment.

A spokesperson was quoted as saying, “We have absolutely nothing to go on.”
