I must admit, this is the first time I've ever seen an apartment building have their own forum. Quite useful. Unusual, but useful.

I've just moved in last week, so you'll have to pardon my ignorance about the goings on here. And to that fellow who tripped over the yowling creature I call Sylvie, I must apologise. I wish I could assure you that she meant no harm in tripping you up and causing that fall down the stairs, but honestly, I can't do that. She's a feisty little hellcat and enjoys being appeased with copious amounts of those treats that come in a can. What can I say. She's no gourmet.

But enough about my cat. I'm Oliver Van der Meer. Feel free to drop on by if you're ever inclined. I'd love to get to meet some of my neighbors.

I'm joking, I'm joking.

Having someone available is a very nice thing to keep in mind. If you would like to come over sometime, I'm sure she wouldn't mind a visitor. I believe she needs more female influences in her life.

Okay!! There's a very fancy gourmet Manhattan pet boutique by my work -- can I bring her a treat form there? They make stuff from real meat which I guess is not what's in cat food?

I'm sure you would be forever in her good favour if you did that. And yes, most cat food is simply... by products. Like fast food for cats. Filling but kind of scary as to the ingredients.

...Seriously. I think I know too much about this.

Other topics other than my cat, charming and cute as she can be at times?

Where do you work?

Fast food for cats?! That's hilarious!! Well, I hope she doesn't feel like what I bring is like a salad or something!

I work at Spa Bambou, which is this fancy French-inspired organic lifestyle spa. But we use chemicals there which I think aren't very organic but my boss says is...natural because they were once derived from organic things? Anyway, it's pretty easy work but I don't mind because I love to people watch. Not in, like, a creepy stalkerish way but just in a...well, I don't know if there's a normal way to watch people but I'm not going to...do...anything... I'm going to stop talking now.
