After telling Pam to make sure that everything was going to be taken care of, Eric walked back out and smiled at Lilah. “If you’re ready, we can head out now,” he said to her. He was certainly looking forward to getting to know the lawyer much better. It wouldn’t be a bad thing for him to have a lawyer from Wolfram & Hart in his pocket, plus she was interesting. It was rare to find a regular human willing to work for such a…dark organization. He knew that humans liked to pretend that they were better than vampires, but he knew the truth. He knew that they were very much alike, whether they wanted to admit to it or not.
“So, what of Shreveport would you like to see first?” he asked her. “It’s not quite the metropolis that Los Angeles is, but it certainly has its own charm.” He knew that he wouldn’t want to try having a vampire bar in a city as large as LA. At least in Shreveport, it was big enough to be anonymous, but small enough that you could still easily figure out who the best people to know and control were.
