It was late once he'd arrived back in the apartment. Aiden had got his story in, his photographs enhanced, and had eaten, although he seemed to have entirely forgotten what his original plans had been for the evening. The buzz hadn't even died down when they had driven back to Aiden's apartment block long after midnight, and Alexander had bid him goodnight.
He couldn't blame the young man, of course, couldn't blame him at all. Work came before play, especially in the world of journalism, where an exclusive to make your career for life.
