There's been a subtle shift of metaphysical energy within the dimensional rift. Anyone who is psychically sensitive or manipulates energy has likely felt a little off.

It's not at a dangerous level, but I can see someone's already had a dream. I think we can expect this to happen over the coming nights.

In the meantime, it's being monitored by myself and Wong for any abrupt changes.

I can feel the crackle in the air too. A little bit like when the barometric pressure drops.

Though I don't think there's anything left for me personally to dream about.

Pardon the intrusion. I felt this yesterday as well, as did my betrothed.

For me, it was akin to a sudden abrupt shift of the wind around me. Or rather, it felt as though it moved through me.

For her? The Valkyrie are mystically linked to the dead or dying, in order to guide the souls of fallen warriors to Valhalla. To put it in perspective for me, she said it was like reading from left to right had been suddenly flipped around, right to left.

Unfortunately, much like Ms. Maximoff, I haven't anything left to dream of either. I was quite dead.

It's no intrusion. I am relieved someone else was experiencing a similar shift.

I was quite dead too. Many were. But wait - if your Valkyrie is familiar with escorting souls to the afterlife, and she sensed the opposite, does that mean the opposite of death itself?

I read what you wrote and was compelled to reply. Despite having little to no kinship with Earth's sorcerer.

Unfortunately, I do not know. She seemed entirely herself otherwise when it was mentioned, so I imagine it was very faint.

If I were to chance a guess, she might be picking up on the souls lost on the other side. The voices she once heard were legion, and overwhelming after she long denied them. She has learned to block them out to spare her sanity.

I see. It's almost like they are not really dead? We weren't, anyway. Not in the soul stone.

As an aside, is that - well. I have a friend, I want to assure him his family is okay. They were lost after Thanos.

Is that something she could do? By speaking with lost souls?

I imagine so. She does hear the voice of the odd lost soul now and again. When you were temporarily trapped last year, she was rather agitated.

I suspect you mean Agent Barton. I doubt he would accept such an offer if it is somehow closely linked to me, due to the harm I did unto him while I was a thrall of Thanos.

Unfortunately, as well, it might be difficult for her to manage. I hesitate mentioning this - although she is blunt enough as to not care what others think - that she has developed quite the affinity for drinking. Even by Asgardian standards.

Maybe it's a good sign. Though after such wides-cale decimation, it will be hard to bounce back.

Ah. Well, maybe not. I just wish I wasn't dead and useless in that other universe - and here, I feel strangely powerless. He has not even attempted to grieve properly and people just let him-- Pietro's death should not have been for nothing--

I can see why one would develop an affinity like that here. But congratulations on your engagement, if I may say?

Perhaps it is and I suspect it would be. I further suspect that it will be difficult to recover for Agent Barton as well. Losing one's family is a foul fate indeed.

Oddly enough, she was much like that on Sakaar, when we first met and drew blades on one another. I dredged up some foul memories from the depths of her mind and she punched me in the face and chained me up. It was all very romantic.

Thank you. That's very kind of you to say that.

Right. That seems very romantic.

At least we know there is a link to the dead or dying here. That's no small feat, and seems to align with the way the Valkyrie were written of in ancient texts.

Wanda, have you talked with Clint at all lately?

It can offer some comfort to know there is a link, maybe?

Yes, I talked to him when Steve recruited for the New Avengers. He was insistent on not joining and very...dark in his thoughts and words. But he at least agreed to train me to fight hand-to-hand better so we are meeting at Stark Industries gym to do that.

I think it might. If he's gone to a dark place though, it could cause him to react with bitterness. We don't know the extent of a Valkyrie's ability to speak back to the dead as much as hear them.

Loki?

As much as others suspect I'd love to poke them with a stick, I'm also loath to make things worse in this capacity.

The best I can offer is to inquire as to her thoughts. I'll change the filter as well so she can read this and respond, if she is willing.

Oh, I just mean in general, for people who have lost others. Being able to speak to the dead, or even get a sense of whether they're comfortable or not, is a useful skill. Some people would be ready to know, I suppose others would not. It's not like you ever really get closure, when family dies. You just learn to live without them.

But if she is willing to help in future instances? That could be a thing.

I see, and there is wisdom in your words as to dealing with loss. I will speak to her and she might think it over for the future. As for Agent Barton, I truly think it would be best to leave my name out of such matters, as there is

What is that Taylor Swift song my brother listens to at times? Bad blood.

At any rate, you are correct. It could well be a thing.

Oh yes. I do understand how unfair and terrible it can feel. I have lost mine as well. No matter what happens I'm always here for him, just as he was for me.

Actually, that does sound like an interesting beginning to a courtship and familiar. I threw Vision down through a floor - hundreds of feet, in fact.

You are welcome. Weddings are nice.

I offer my condolences. Truly. I had only Thor left in that other Universe and the Norns were unkind to us, to put it kindly.

Oh. I like you quite a bit. You fully understand how complex the dance of courtship sometimes is.

Alas, I've never been wedded but I'm rather looking for it.

The dance of courtship can be complicated but it's worth the effort of figuring it out. I'm sure your wedding will be beautiful and all you never knew you wanted. ;)

There may well be, but I highly doubt it. It seems they are boundlessly cruel at times, and I fear that what kindness they bestow is fleeting, at best.

It does appear to be very worthwhile, so I hope that all fares well with you and yours.

As for the wedding, it will not be as big an affair as Stark's. Ours will take place before Asgard's remaining people. Thor will say a few words, and then we eat and drink ourselves stupid for days on end. This is why my brother loves weddings.

That makes sense. The Fates, the Norns, do tend to be cruel and have a reputation.

Thank you, we are still figuring things out. It's not him though, I'm just...me.

I don't think you can go wrong with eating and drinking yourselves stupid tbough. It sounds amazing.

Asgardian weddings are quite enjoyable, but it tends to become both an acquired taste and a feat of endurance by the second day.

In regards to the Norns? As of late, I'm convinced I'm some sort of puppet acting as their catalyst. In which case, I'm rather done being accommodating. I might go face them at some point, but the journey is perilous. It is said they are not prone to answering questions clearly one way or the other, and they'll likely take such a visit as an affront.

Now then, what is wrong with being just...you? Surely there is time to decide if things are right betwixt you.

What makes you think that? And do you plan to go alone?

I like to think we have time. But I don't trust this universe. Vision is dead in that other universe and I'm just wary of yet another heartbreak if he disappears, because I know for certain death is where he returns to.

I think it is more a matter of the best laid plans going awry. And by that, I mean that things tended to snowball from bad to horribly worse. If that was the foul fate woven for me, I would welcome lodging a complaint about the future being less tumultous. Yet they are not easy to find, nor are they easy to speak to. Thus it would be a fool's journey. Even alone.

Worry not. I am not willing to take such a risk, nor risk my neck. Not while I have someone awaiting me. Even if it would provide some answers, there are too many ways to get lost whilst trying to find such illusive beings. And if they become incensed, things could grow even worse for yours truly.

As to those other matters, Ms. Maximoff? I believe that is a relevant concern shared by many. I worry over this happening with my intended as well, and she with me. If I were to be gone, there is nothing for me to return to on that other side. I am much in the same place as you and your Vision are. Quite dead.

Even so, for what we are allotted here, is it not worthwhile to indulge and enjoy? Even if it is a sliver of time, that makes it all the more precious.

I think it's natural to want answers. If you try and it doesn't end well, at least you know you tried to find those answers. I am willing to help you? I'm not Asgardian but maybe if we both researched the magic involved, we could find a way.

Yes. Stephen said something similar regarding those other matters. You are both right.

I recall the tales my mother told me of Urdr, Verdandi and Skuld. Of the three, the youngest Skuld is the worst and most unyeilding. There are many more Norns than that besides, shaping the destiny of gods and mortals from birth and working with one another. There is even a Queen of Nornheim, who has long reviled Odin for turning most of her army to stone.

While I appreciate the generous offer of aid? I know it would be a dangerous undertaking, and likely not end well. There is even the chance that there would be no return at all. And I fear that the paths taken on so long a journey would incur a steep toll upon a mortal form.

Such an undertaking would bode ill for us both, and our loves. I have no desire to take you away from him, nor cause my intended any more sorrows.

However, should things take a foul turn for us both?

Well then. Perhaps we might consider a visit at that juncture.

You can trade stories with the Queen, then, about how awful Odin was.

I suppose tracking down Norns and visiting them might be a thing to do when lovers disappear though, so yes. So it's a deal.

If only. She's not overly fond of any of us, I'm afraid? Odin most of all.

As for our pact, yes. I do think it would be appropriate then. As much as I appreciate your aid, you must also forgive me when I admit that I'd rather things never reach that point. A sentiment that you now share, no doubt.

You've been in tune with it as well then. The cosmic vibration of the disturbance might be more far reaching than I imagined it was.

How far away can you sense this from? Or is it all around you?

All around me, but it's not bad. Less than the vibration of a mountain, more than car. I can tune it out, though I really can't tell a distance with it.

All right, as long as you can tune it out. This is good information to know, too. Not only if things intensify, but so that we are aware of who is most affected by any disturbances.

It may intensify. It's hard to tell. But if it does, be prepared to try to to tune it out or block it, if you have a means to do so. I've been hit with it before while traveling the astral plane, and the result was painful. I was shown too much all at once, and now none of it makes any discernible sense.

I trust that you are capable and know your limits, Daisy. You seem inherently cautious of how your powers can affect others, and that's always a good thing.

But if you ever feel like anything is spiraling out of control and you need help, don't hesitate. Contact us immediately. Either myself or Wanda can help you, harmlessly and non-lethally. I can portal you to a space between dimensions or into the mirror universe if you feel an outburst pending. Wanda can use her telepathy to set your mind at ease, even remotely. I trust Wanda with my own mind and life. We'll be able to help.

We don't want you to end up in Milwaukee. Or someplace like that.

You can add me to the list of people feeling off. I don't usually get headaches but this one is kinda distracting.

So - these dreams. They're real? They're happening back in the world that I came from? I haven't had any, and that makes sense cause...well, you know what happened there.

This means you definitely have a way of tuning into things around you. You aren't the only one. Two other magic users are deceased on the other side, but have been experiencing things as well.

To answer your question, yes. The dreams are real for our other selves and reveal what has happened in the other universe. I haven't had any either, for what it's worth. But I gather the point of the plan is that we will. Someday.

ALso. I've enjoyed the comics you dropped off. Thank you.

You know when we were in space and you got all twitchy and saw all those outcomes but you said only one of them was going to work? The plan that's happening in the other universe - is that part of that?

Hey, no problem. Even all powerful wizards need to destress and think of imaginary people's problems instead, right?

I believe so. If things went according to the plan I saw when I got twitchy, then that's what should be happening over there.

I read them while I was sleeping. You're right. It was a good way to relax and the story wasn't bad at all. I was pleasantly surprised.
