"That she does," Bruce agreed, pushing aside the pang of sadness that always lingered in the back of his mind when it came to thinking about kids. Even if he hadn't had the accident, he likely wouldn't have trusted himself to become a father, not with the terrible example he had from his own, but it still stung that the option was completely off the table.

He watched her running for a few moments and then turned his attention back to Pepper. "How are you and Tony handling all of this?"

	Pepper gave a chuckle that was loaded with sarcasm. "You know Tony. He's running in circles and flailing while I point him in the right direction and calm him down." Pepper looked back to Morgan. There was no doubt that Morgan was Tony's daughter with the way she got into everything. Bruce felt a little bad for Pepper having to wrangle them both though it was far better than the alternative.

"I'm okay," he said. He wasn't about to discuss his confusion or potential issues with Pepper. For one thing, she didn't need to hear it. For another, he would worry that she would slip and say something in front of Tony and then he'd never hear the end of it. "You know, if you ever need a babysitter, let me know."

Whether he meant for Morgan, Tony, or both was up to her to decide.

	Pepper would probably have some insight for share, and she could definitely be trusted to not supply her husband with fodder. "What, you don't get enough of having to put up with one toddler in the lab?" Pepper chuckled but that changed to an oof when her lap got rapidly invaded by an adorable toddler. Pepper laughed as she hugged her little hellion but had to let Morgan go quickly when the little girl started wiggling to get down. "And she's off again." Pepper sighed as the air particle with legs ran off on some mission only a five year old would find important.

"Tony wants to take her to the lab," she commented with a smirk. "I told him no, but I will definitely take you up on babysitting whenever I feel he's working too much."

"It's never too early to instill a love of learning," Bruce said, though he couldn't blame Pepper for not entirely trusting Tony to supervise a small child in the lab given that he could barely supervise himself.

He was surprised a moment later when Morgan ran back over, this time barreling into his legs and presenting him with a handful of flowers she'd liberated from one of the planters. "Why thank you," he said, reaching out to ruffle her hair as she giggled and ran off again.

"But it is too early to teach her how to blow things up." Pepper chuckled but she knew that could happen. Morgan got into everything she got curious about. All it would take is Tony being distracted for one second and the lab would be toast.

Case in point. Pepper put her face into her hand when she saw the flowers that her daughter had dug up. They were easily three digits each. Tony will have to write a check.

Still, when she lifted her face out she had that fond smile on her face that she got whenever she looked at Morgan. "She likes you," Pepper said to Bruce.

	That was a fair point and Tony was easily distracted. Still, her comment about Morgan liking him made him smile. It shouldn't matter so much that a four year old liked him, but it made Bruce feel good. "She's a good kid," he said. (Replies frozen) (Parent) (Thread)

"We're lucky." Pepper smiled.

A moment of silence then Pepper exhaled sharply when Morgan came pounding back with more flowers..some still sporting roots...that she plunks into Bruce's lap.

"Oook," Pepper said as she stood up. "That's enough flirting out of you, young lady." She scooped Morgan up, the toddler scowling her disapproval. "We won't be telling your dad about this."
