WE ARE A GO FOR JAILBREAK
Who: Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Stephen Strange, Thor Odinson, Loki, Bucky Barnes, Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton, Daisy Johnson, Wanda Maximoff, Brock Rumlow, and OPEN TO ALL
What: Prison Break!
When: Thursday
Rating: TBD

The upstate New York Avengers facility still had that ‘new car’ smell, since it had barely been used. Several quinjets were waiting in a large hangar at one end of the main building. Steve and Bucky arrived first, as Doctor Strange began portaling people to the location. Finally, they were officially… assembled.

Assignments:

First team: Steve, Nat, Clint, Loki, and Wanda head in to locate Tony and incapacitate as many guards on the way as possible. Loki and Wanda can use magic to clear the way stealthily. Steve, Nat, and Clint can disable people quickly while they search for Tony. Stealth is key here.

Second team: Thor, Valkyrie, Gamora, Peter, Rumlow, and Bucky are the second wave when the alarm is sounded and they have to fight their way out. Stealth is no longer an issue so this is the time for the heavy guns.

Daisy and Strange will remain at the Avengers HQ.
Daisy will be monitoring Raft prison re-emergence schedule, since they are trying for stealth, and some official or other is surely stopping by to question Tony.
Strange will be standing by on a quinjet for medical transport.

Clint snorted at Nat's assessment of his approach, biting back on the comment that he was certain they'd lost the subtlety when Cap had recruited every man and his dog for the rescue. He left Nat to cover her side as he took up point on his, ducking beneath a thrown punch and then using that momentum to slam the guard into the nearby cell door where he soon slumped over unconscious.

He like Nat was going non lethal, really didn't need the aggravation of the sort of trouble that would bring down on all their heads.

A well aimed kick knocked a nearby guard back and Clint grappled his flailing arms until he was able to safely and efficiently send him to sleep with a well placed chokehold.

"Any luck?" He said over to Nat.

Nat had kicked someone into the glass wall with a grunt and as he slid down the wall, she walked closer to make sure he was unconscious. As she stepped over the slumped body and emerged from the smoke to peer inside the glass window.

Tony, who had shuffled forward, was standing inside and squinting out. He looked a mess. She tensed her jaw, feeling her teeth pressing together at the sight of him being in such a state. He was bruised, he was holding himself like he was injured - and she'd seen him wounded enough times to know - and looked like they hadn't been taking good care of him.

Whatever had happened between everyone, none of them deserved the kind of treatment that was apparent here. Even if all those injuries had come from him falling out of the sky, he should have been better taken care of. She could feel her blood boiling.

Though none of this was apparent on her face. Her lips quirked up at the edges and she lifted a hand in a slight wave. "Heard you needed a rescue?" she told Tony, tilting her head to the side slightly and touching her earpiece, announcing over the general network - including to Clint - "Found Tony. Can someone open the cell or do I need to blow an escape hole?"

"I could use a rescue. If it's not too much trouble, since you know, you're here." Tony tried to smile and winced instead. "Here to say told ya so?"

"Nope, that's my job," Clint quipped as he'd finished tying up and dealing with the now very unconscious guards before he came up behind Nat with a smirk on his face.

He unlike Nat was unsympathetic to Tony's injuries, figuring that fair was fair and Tony hadn't exactly been all that sympathetic to Clint and all the others who had found themselves in a similar position.

The door to Tony's cell opened as apparently somebody up there had been listening.

Event though he was trying to shuffle through the now open cell door, Tony gave Clint one of those stares that was as dry as the Sahara.

"Didn't I heart emoji spam you," he asked, because apparently it was normal to start flipping shit the moment these two were anywhere in close proximity to one another. "I was going to have Nat blow you a kiss for me. I think she didn't want to text back, because it might encourage my further bad behavior."

He coughed once at the smoke and then looked around.

"Gonna find out if they have my suit, and strut my way outta here."

He was strutting approximately nowhere, considering he was hobbling around like a 102 year old man.

"Boys," Nat started, ducking under Tony's arm carefully with one around his waist, offering him a modicome of support without hurting him more. But they didn't have the luxury of time for Tony to hobble his centenarian ass without assistance. "You can compare I-missed-you-so-much jabs once we're safely back on the Quinjet."

Nat touched her comms again. "Steve, can someone find out if Tony's suit's here? If so, can you get it for him? He's having separation anxiety."

She glanced at Clint, trusting him to pick off anyone who might have been rousing from unconsciousness or appearing out of some dark evil-henchmen corner. "Let's get outta here. Loki better still be covering the door."

Steve pressed himself back into an alcove so he could answer.

"Nat. Let me find out." He switched to the direct channel to Daisy and Strange. "We have Tony. Can either of you detect anything that might be the suit and point us there?" He knew Tony loved his suit, but they also didn't need to leave tech in the wrong hands.

Given the sort of obsessive behavior that Stark displayed, Stephen imagined that separation anxiety wasn't an understatement in the least bit.

"Uhh? I'll check my notes," Stephen said. He began shuffling through what he had noted on his network phone, when he walked through the place in his astral form. There had been an area for 'personnel property' and 'high security', but he hadn't had time to search inside, and it wasn't like the suit was out on display either. "There was a room between the interrogation rooms and guard lockers, outside of the holding cells. You might have someone try looking there. If it's not there, then it might have been transferred elsewhere."

"Copy that," Steve replied to Strange. Mentally reviewing the plans of the raft, he opened the general comms channel. "Anyone near the guard lockers? Check for a locked room that might have the Iron Man suit." He wasn't that far away, but he waited to see if anyone else was closer and could respond.

Clint snorted at Nat's comments before he heard the comms exchange between Strange and Steve. "Think Loki's gonna have to do that 'cause Nat and I are encumbered right now with Tony's injured ass."

He fell in behind Nat and Tony as they moved away from the holding cells and by the looks of things one guard was beginning to rouse so Clint quite swiftly put him back to sleep with a well aimed punch.

"The sooner we get outta here the better."

"I passed this area you speak of," Loki said into the comm channel, punching one particularly obstinate guard for the fourth time. "The door remains clear, but I know not for how long. I shall go forth and fetch Stark's suit."

He set out through the corridors at a hurried pace, casting a glance at the signs upon the doors as he passed, until he located a locked room, and attempted to use the guard's key-card on it. The door beeped at him, but did not open.

Loki scowled. Time was of the essence, and his patience with such delays was growing thin. He tried using a spell on it, but the lock basically mocked him. He attempted to hook his fingers into the door and pull it open, but it was not moving as much and as fast as he wanted it to. Not to mention an even louder alarm that was set off, and the pitter-patter of angry Midgardian feet coming toward him.

"We may have a slight problem," Loki said into the comm, as a heavily armed group of prison guards came into view. "The lock is resistant to magic, and I can not pry the door open. I also have a great many visitors that I am not supposed to dispatch."

In the manner in which he was accustomed to, he meant.

"Put your hands up!" one guard said, and Loki rolled his eyes like this was getting tedious.

"Must we do this, really?" he was saying. He went to put his hands up, but was fired upon anyway. Luckily, those bullets didn't really hurt him all that much, considering raised hands meant he could shield the bullets. "Oh, you're going to regret that you did that."

He marched toward them in what could only be described as a murder stride, continuing to shield all the bullets from hitting him, and intent on inflicting (what he hoped remained non-lethal) bodily harm.

Once again, Steve strongly considered cursing. He opened the channel.

"Loki is taking fire while trying to get the suit. Anyone who is in the area, see if you can assist. Loki is probably not in any danger but we need to get that door open. I'm going to see if I can get close."

He was happy to have his shield again. It felt familiar, like a part of his own body.
