Little known fact about me. I love to read, I used to read everything I could get my hands on which wasn't a lot given that I was on the run. The library here is amazing and I found a book that I absoultely love and went out and bought two copies. I'm keeping one and the other is free to whoever wants it.

It's called Watership Down and even though it's about rabbits, it's not a kid's book. It's really amazing, I promise. So who wants it?

Interesting. I might have to take you up on that.

It's really good. I was surprised by how much I loved it.

I'm not one to turn down a suggestion on a new book to read!

I bought a copy here on the ship. You can borrow it, if you'd like.

Access to do much literature is a luxury I didn’t think I would ever have. It’s nice, isn’t it?

It really is and I enjoy seeing what literature from other worlds is like.

That one’s an old classic where I’m from.

Earth, but a long time after that one was published.

There are a lot of people from Earth here, aren't there? I'm not sure exactly where I'm fron in relation to that, our timekeeping is different.

I've actually heard of that one, but never read it.

I'll give it a look.

If you want any other recommendations, I'm happy to help. I'm certainly not the most well-read person here, but it is a hobby.

I'd like that. Books are very different here than what I'm used to at home. We have holonovels and of course totally different subjects than the books here.

I suppose that's to be expected. At home for me, you had magical books -- written by witches and wizards that were for the magical community -- but you also had some access to non-magical books.

Of course, non-magical authors still wrote about magic. But it wasn't always accurate. But I always thought it was interesting to see what they thought it was.

What sort of books would you be interested in? I don't want to recommend something you might hate.

I love stories about magic actually. We don't have magic in our world, at least not the way you have it here. I'll read pretty much anything though.

I understand!

The uncontested favorite among most people my age is From the Ashes by Cerwyn Abdigale. It actually isn't my favorite, but only because it hits too close to home for me. But I won't pretend the writing isn't spectacular. And the story is good.

I just checked and we've got it on the ship. Give it a try!

(ooc: anyone reading this, I made the above up. You aren't forgetting any Potterverse canon!)

How is it about rabbits and not a kids book?

It's an adult story. The rabbits lose their home when someone builds homes there and their warrnes are destroyed. They go on a quest to find another place to live and there is a lot of stuff that goes on inculing some fights that would really be a little scary for little kids. It's a great about friendship, community, the environment. I love it.
