If they'd been a bit more rational, I would have totally been on their side. But so many of these people aren't and if that is the way that they feel that they need to be, it's entirely up to them, it's their decision to make. MY DECISION is to say fuck them. That is MY decision.

First of all, this is the excuse that people who hurt other people use all the time: "Well, if they had *politely* explained why I should stop kicking them in the face, I totally would have!" If you really wanted to stop hurting people, you would, no matter what TONE they took when asking you to stop.
