You are KIDDING me. This is completely unacceptable. You've been offered -- generously -- a chance to make it right. I suggest you take it, and quickly, before the entire internet comes down on your head. This is, quite simply, immoral. To make it clear: you're not good people if you're doing this.

I don't see fanaticism anywhere. I see a good deal of well-expressed anger and horror, but not fanaticism. Wanting people to stop denigrating the memory of a horrific event in human history does not equal fanaticism. I didn't see this until I swung by to check my IJ list today, but seriously, this is a disaster and I can't believe no one said anything before. This is one of the ugliest things I've seen on the internet in a long time, and I used to work for the Abuse Team over on LJ.

Yep. And I even have a huge collection of 'Nazi nicknames' people have called me over the years. My love for the users abounds. Working there (and I'd go back if I still believed in the philosophy) taught me a lot, and was horrible at times. Really painful. But worth it, back in the day, because I loved LJ.
