It's been called the "Queen of the West," the "City by the Lake," "Paris on the Prairie," "My Kind of Town," and the "Windy City" but to those who live in Chicago and the nine surrounding counties of the Chicagoland area, it's just home. When you live in Chicago, you have to know how to get around and when you visit you have to know where the best of the best in the area is! The news team at NBC Chicago spends their lives bringing viewers the ins and outs of the sparkling city on Lake Michigan.
At NBC Chicago, you'll follow the lives on the on-air teams in the morning, afternoon, and night. They keep you up to date on local and national news, up-to-the-minute traffic and weather reports, up-to-date on local sports teams and give you the latest medical and health news. Of course, no on-air team would work without the dedication from the behind-the-scenes crew that's at-the-ready from dawn until well after midnight.
NBC Chicago RPG is an in-character, thread/log centric game. We're looking for players who are dedicated writers, looking to create their own characters and storylines and interact with other players to create a fun and active environment!

Mods are now accepting applications and we're anticipating the game opening on Wednesday, July 20, 2011! We're looking forward to having you at NBC Chicago!

'Please don't take this the wrong way, Sookie, but shut up.'

This is an AU RPG that breaks off near the end of season 3.

After Russell's death and Sookie's disappearance, Eric returns to Fangtasia to find a small velvet-covered box sitting on top of the bar, the contents of which are quickly leading to complete anarchy in the vampire kingdom of Louisiana.

(We're looking for Bill Compton, Debbie Pelt, Hoyt Fortenberry, Sam Merlotte, and OC vampire sheriffs.)

'If someone such as he can be taken, then none of us are safe.'

Daily Life
All good stories start with "once upon a time" and this one isn't so different. Once upon a time, Man and Dragon lived in harmony and shared the land freely. The near-immortal dragons watched generations of man cycle through their lives. They watched kingdoms rise and fall, and watched the development of villages into towns. They advised king and commoner alike. The world was at peace ...

... though peace never lasts long.

There were men and women of ambition, possessing a drive to better their world. They saw the dragons as the barrier keeping civilization from advancing beyond the current way of life. One magician in particular devoted himself to devising a way to remove the dragons from the world. He failed, but his daughter took up his cause after his death. She successfully imprisoned the dragons -- and was executed for her work.

Over the years, magic users of all sorts attempted to wake the dragons, but with no luck. Encouraged by the way the balance was tilting, other ambitious magic users sought to use the current state of affairs to advance their own agendas. One necromancer took it upon himself to attempt to raise an undead army to seize the throne. His plan was derailed and he was executed -- but it was enough for the King at the time to issue a decree making magic taboo. Magic users were driven underground, and those who would have been students of the magic school were forced to contend with their powers on their own.

Twenty-five years after the initial ban, the new King has decided to try to reverse the state of affairs. He has reopened the magical division of the Academy and encouraged magic users to once again reveal themselves and learn the art. The question remains ... is history bound to repeat itself?
