Caroline was full of nervous energy as she got ready for her rounds. She had straightened and primped and premed her perfect uniform so many times she couldn’t count. Her hair was in a neat, half-ponytail and she wore subtle make up.

Donning her cloak, she decided she couldn't stand pacing around her room anymore. Walking down into the common room, she had a book tucked under her arm; a proper book her mother had sent her titled Proper party planning for the proper witch.

She looked over at her favorite chair by the fire and wondered if she was too warm already to be so near the fire. Shrugging, Caroline figured she would give it a try. When she got closer, she saw someone sitting there with pale blonde hair.

"Oh, hi," Caroline greeted Queenie a little sheepishly because she had not noticed her earlier. "Sorry." She really didn't know what she was apologizing for but it slipped out anyways.

On the lapel of her cloak, her silver Prefect badge glimmered with a sisnister hint of green that was in stark contrast to the girl's pleasant and shy demeanor.

Who: Caroline Spungen and Evangeline Yaxley
What: Caroline offered to help Evangeline with her Transfiguration assignment.
When: Thursday, Dec 3, 2023. 6pm. Just after dinner.
Where: Slytherin Common Room
Rating: Pg

Caroline found herself incredibly nervous as she got ready to meet Evangeline. She had always been incredibly intimidated by Evangeline and she was shocked she had even responded to her journal.

After seeing Kerrigan with Oswald at the Halloween Ball, she really didn't know how Evangeline would take to her. She seemed nice and appreciative in her journal but that could all change very quickly…

Deciding there was no graceful way out of it, she made her way down to the common room to meet her fellow Slytherin. Caroline's hair was up in a ponytail and she was in her uniform and cloak, which was perfectly pressed and her prefect's badge was pinned to her cloak for rounds later.

Looking around, she wondered if Evangeline was there yet.

Oswald had dropped a mint on the costumes he had purchased for the party. He even had a few extras because he wasn't going to decide sight unseen. Besides, he had bought Kerrigan's costume. What kind of Queen bought her own costume? She was the Queen of Slytherin, after all.

Having finally picked her packaged her costume up so that the house elves could deliver it to her room and leave it on her bed. Without bothering to ask the creature's name, the fearful little elf tottered with long, white dress box in its arms. It seemed the House Elf was happy to be dismissed.

The box was set on Kerrigan's bed where it would await for her return. The House Elf disappeared with a pop. He was there and gone so quickly that it was almost like he was never there.

When the box was opened, it would reveal a beautiful green dress with gold braiding that created a wondrous pattern up the front and back. There was a crown of real spun gold that would rest upon her head and her hair would be held in an elegant, gold hair net.

The costume was hardly historically accurate but Oswald had favored beauty and elegance over historical accuracy.

Inside the box, there was an envelope with inside that was unmarked but contained a note.

Kerrigan,

I have selected costumes for us for the ball and this is the one for you. I am sure that you will look beautiful in it on my arm.

We will be attending as Lancelot and Guinevere. I am sure you will get the idea. If your former "King" neglected you, I am happy to show you your worth.

I look forward to seeing you Saturday. You are the perfect Queen for our house and I will show you how a Queen should be treated.

Oswald.

Characters: Caroline Spungen & (open)
When/Where: Slytherin Common Room, 7pm September 1st
Rating: Probably PG or G.
Summary: The Slytherin Common Room is usually a good place to gather. Caroline figures it is a good place to test her standing with the rest of her house.
Status: Incomplete

Caroline had sat through the normal opening ceremonies of Hogwarts after an agonizing train ride. She had sat alone on the train because the only cars that had people also had…temptation. She knew she still wasn’t guarded as she should be, not used to being back and school, so hiding was the better part of valor.

Though the Ministry seemed to have done their best to dispose of the fliers strewn about by the Knights of Wulpulgris, Caroline had seen one of them when she’d gone shopping for books in Diagon Alley the week before school and the tension it created did little to ease Caroline tense mood.

After finding her trunk in her dorm room, she had gone about unpacking and trying to get herself into the proper mindset to live in the snake pit that was the social circles of the Slytherin dungeon.

Once she had felt secure, enough anyways, Caroline changed into a demure gray wool skirt with a pair of stylish brown boots that were a perfect match to her cashmere sweater. Leaving her hair down, she tucked her wand into her pocket and made her way down the stairs with her Arithmancy book to study by the fire in case she didn’t find anyone to talk to.

As expected, there were quite a few of her fellow Slytherins down in the common room. Smiling weakly at a few, she moved over to sit in a leather upholstered lounge chair near the sire. Pulling it a little closer, she relished the feel of the heat on her bare legs.

Flipping open her book, she feigned reading as she kept a subtle eye on who was coming and going. Part of her hoped that someone would come talk to her but part of her worried about just who that might be…
