I took the site down for a few minutes this afternoon to clean up the database. We were getting some errors uploading userpics that I think was caused by the database indexes being crashed. It's all clean now and everything should be working.
I noticed the userpics were getting slow, but you took the site down and brought it back again so quickly I didnt even know it had gone down. :-D You rock!
And because of these things you do, this journal site is THE STANDARD. Thanks again. You really do stay on the ball when it comes to running this site.
Aha, I noticed the problems uploading userpics late last night, but I figured things might be busy around the holidays, so I'd worry about it if it hadn't been fixed in a few days. Looks like I don't have to worry now, so thank you very much!
I almost left a comment mentioning the icon error thing when it was occuring, but you've already made us (me) feel so reassured that all is well here in IJ-Land, that I didn't panic, and assumed it was a temporary sitch. So, yeah. Thank you. :) And please ignore the long run-on sentence. LOL
Say, this has nothing to do with the post, but are you also aware that the journal seems to assume myself logged out, even if I've asked the journal to remember me? When I make a new post, I can't choose the user pic while posting (as the "post reply" page remembers my login and user ID as **** and **** on top of the page instead of showing me already logged in). I have to go back later and change the pic through an edit. Also, when viewing a mostly locked journal, if I don't go through the journal info page, it doesn't show the locked posts, though I am logged in and have access. It's a little annoying.
Hey, squeaky? Two out of my 186 icons aren't showing up for me. When I click "view image" on Firefox, it tells me that the requested URL isn't able to be found. Then with another one of mine, it tells me that you're experiencing technical difficulties.
