It looks like we are once again taking in accounts for GreatestJournal. We are thrilled to have you here! We would like to point out that we do have the resources to take you in. And if the site continues to grow the way it has been then we will get even more resources as needed. We do have a plan in place to further expand the resources the site has. So you do not have to worry about us.

We do hope to win you over and have you host your journals, asylums (communities at other sites), roleplays, and fan fic here, we are also happy just to give you a place of refuge while GreatestJournal works out whatever issues they are having, and totally understand if you go back. We are really just happy to have all of our users here, temporary or permanent!

Also, I know there are a lot of people who are unhappy with the site design here on InsaneJournal. We are currently working on a new easier to use (and easier on the eyes) design that we hope to implement soon. Obviously we will get as much feedback as possible.     I just wanted to thank you for welcoming everyone over here and taking our suggestions for a new site scheme. As funny as Tweaks sayings can be, he isn't very good for people who are trying to be inconspicuous about checking their journal at places like school or work. Yeah, we probably shouldn't be doing that on company time, but let's face it. We all do. Something minimal would definitely be a great help in that!

      We are still going to have tweak on the main site design, but we are also planning on offering an alternative design sans tweak for those of you who need to hide him.

    I don't write fansmut or anything, so I didn't have anything to "worry" about with LJ's recent, I dunno, religious conversion? But it will be nice not to have some stupid flag hanging over everyone's journal like some sort of Internet Stasi.

    I'm still getting used to the site, so I don't have much in the way of feedback, however it would be nice if there was a way to make an entry directly from your "journal", instead of doing it through a "home page". That's the only thing I can think of.

    I for one soooooooo appreciate how much you guys communicate with us. It's nice to feel so incredibly welcome at a JOURNAL site! I believe I'll soon be moving my RP's and characters over (shockingly, not a one of them harry potter, I am so out of the loop :p)

      Check your spam filter. It's probably in there. I will also look on the back end to make sure that noone is blocking is agian.

    I have really, really slow loading time for a lot of the pages here. Index and userinfo of users gives me the hardest time, but when I go to proper journal pages or friends pages, everything is fine. Any advice?

      What time of day is this occuring. This is the first of heard of slow load times on the new server. The issue could also be the javascript we are using for the menus slowing you down. If you have a slow connection or a slow computer that could slow you down on the pages with the main site scheme more than journal pages themselves.

    I'm glad you're changing the site layout.. It really was a hard thing to get used coming from the site scheme of black and pink I had at GJ... and I would REALLY love to see notifications on IJ please!!

    [info]squeaky, I love it here. Just bought my sister a permanent account, too. I'm glad that you're so accepting of the refugees from GJ and LJ. It's a completely different atmosphere over here. I'm still using my LJ, but only to keep up with my friends who haven't yet moved here. I like it here SO much better.

    I do have a question, though. I've seen you comment here and there that there will be a new code release sometime in the near future that will update the code and fix some lingering bugs. Can you say when the code update will be done? I'm just curious, really.

    But thanks again for being so awesome.

      I really can't say when it will be done. There are still some MAJOR bugs (i.e. can't use the update page) that I need to work out. Recently I haven't had time to work on it.

    I've been getting a reoccuring error when I try to upload user pics.

    "Error saving to storage server: Unable to read response line from server (Sock_127.0.0.1:7500) "

    Not quite sure what it means. Sometimes I can upload and other times I keep getting the error.

    I created my journal here over the summer and I've been practicing my ninja skills by hiding in the corners and observing the goings-on. I think I was here only a week when I decided to upgrade to a paid account, which I will be renewing. I have been made to feel truly welcome, and I can honestly say my friend's list here is the same size as my flist at the other place, although with mostly different people.

    I have one suggestion, and one question. Is there anything that can be done about the text size in news and announcement posts? It's so tiny that I have to get reallyreally close to my monitor to read it. Changing the text size/zoom control on my browser settings does nothing to change it.

    And the question: is it more helpful to you financially for the users to have a permanent account that they pay for once and are done; or to have a paid account that they keep renewing over and over again giving you a predictable source of income for future site upgrades?

    Thanks for all that you do here for us, Squeaky. You've shown everyone what Customer Service should be.

    Hello!

    I'm the mod of a GJ called ~theavalonschool. I'm considering moving my game here, however I have a concern: my game has over 100 players right now, and the friends list in total is about 120.

    Is there any way to work around this for RPers? I saw that there's a limit of 100 friends for free accounts and clearly, this would be a deal breaker for moving my game here.

    I'm willing to make a donation on behalf of ~theavalonschool but I can't make my players buy paid accounts just to fit everyone on their flist.
