We are aware of the issues with the site being down from around midnight to 4am the past 3 nights. It seems we have gotten yet another mass influx of users. We will have the issues resolved by tomorrow night at the latest.

Thanks you for your patience and understanding while we work to upgrade the hardware here at InsaneJournal.

    Dude, you rock. Seriously. I love that IJ has someone in charge who's really here and cares what is going on, and I think you're doing a fantastic job. I might be new around here but I like what I see and I'm definitely encouraging more folks to wander in and get committed. ;-D

    So yeah. Bravo, man!

    Dude, thank you, for being here and for everything. I'm sure you know how much we appreciate it, but I'm saying it anyway.

    And the check is in the mail, because nothing says appreciation like money. More like one perfect rose than like one perfect limousine, alas, but you do what you can.

    I just wanted to say you're brilliant. You tell us about planned maintenance when the site might be down days ahead of time and then when the site does go down unexpectedly you tell us you're aware of the problem and that you're working on it within roughly four hours of the site coming back up. Thankyou so much for keeping us informed.

    I want to add my thanks for both the excellent site and the even more excellent support and response time. You are very sweet to say, "Not putting up with us" but we are likely to put at least some strain on resources at least in the short term -- so it's worth to offset that as much as possible. Thank you, again.

    I echo joereaves and guiltyred and so many others. It is so wonderful to have people at the helm who really listen and communicate and don't try to cover up their mistakes and screw ups, or refuse to answer, in the hope we'll forget about them.

    imatwit: it never even occurred to me that the mess at LJ was the reason for the downtime. I posted twice about not being able to get in and how slow it was to log in. I guess somebody forgot to mention the mess to Squeaky and that more friends were coming to stay! Squeaky, you may have to start checking LJ just to keep up with the news and to prepare, because it doesn't sound good at LJ. What I can't understand is-do we all come here after dark? Weird, eh!

    Hello! IJ is an awesome blogging site!
    And I love it, but I didn't blog in it recently.
    Well, I've got a question for you.
    Will InsaneJournal ever shut down?
    Cuz I saw some of the other journal sites shut down already.
    Example: Needlesspanic.com, aboutmylife.com, scenejournal.com, and others I don't know about.
    I hope it is gonna last forever like livejournal.com.
    Because you know how you blog alot on a site and all of a sudden, one day the site just goes down and then, BAM!! It's gone. You know the feeling? Yeah, I'm scared of that. lol. Well. Thanks for reading my message. :D

    BTW, why is the text in this newspost so insanely small? Is it just my browser or something? Cause I have to squint just to see what's written...
